Beautiful setting, right on the ocean. Not what I was expecting, because you have to pay when you order. Tables were sticky dirty. Food and location made it worth it. Service was lacking.

Replying to owners comment:
When we sat down the vinyl table top was dirty and sticky. My wife used wet wipes to clean the surface so our arms didn't stick to the table.
By dismissing my comment you are saying I'm lying. I think your business would benefit from taking action when a customer points out a problem, instead of attacking them.
Maybe next time apologize, and make sure it doesn't happen again.
Don't worry we won't be sending you a bill for the wet wipes.

My husband and I were there 2 weeks ago. Things were closing down after Labor Day so only outdoor dining was open. You gave your order then when your buzzer rang, picked it up at the window. We had a picnic table right by the water and their seafood chowder, we both agreed, was the best we have eaten anywhere! (And as senior citizens who travel a lot, we have eaten many chowders in our time). Also you have the nice view of Prim Point lighthouse in the background. It’s a justifiably very popular place.

We had a great experience at the point prim chowderhouse. My husband had the best mussels ever.. they were fresh with a ton of flavour. We enjoyed our lunch with an amazing view.

Point Prim Chowder House has always been a place we frequent every summer for the last 10 years. It’s always been one of our favourite places. This time we were a bit disappointed especially with our food. We both ordered lobster rolls cold. I am lover of lobster rolls. 28$ for a roll full of lettuce and celery not a whole lot of lobster, was tough. The lobster you could tell was days old, not fresh had a really funky taste. The chowder as well…not how we remembered it full of celery and no biscuits offered anymore.
Things have really changed there as far as service goes. It’s completely self serve now which takes away from the whole experience.
Things that haven’t changed are the staff-very friendly and the views absolutely lovely. For us it was the whole experience and the quality of the food that has gone down.

Used to be a very nice full service restaurant worthy of the trip. Now it's self serve and the food is nothing special. Visit the lighthouse and eat elsewhere.

Delicious seafood. Tried Wild Oysters, Seafood Chowder, and Quahog Clams. I enjoyed everything except the clams, which I guess I’m just not a fan of. The broth was very tasty though. A seaside view while dining can’t be beat and the service was great.

The food was magnificent and not super expensive, for seafood. Big portion sizes left us all full for lunch.

Food was amazing! Day was beautiful! Although there was no table service and you must walk to the counter to order, the food came out extremely quick!

I was worried at first, concerned about how they made everything so quick, but I was shocked, everything tasted fresh and amazing!

My wife got the chowder, I got the warm lobster roll, and my grandmother-in-law got the cold lobster roll. My wife and I shared the chowder and roll and were extremely impressed! We live on the island and have tried plenty of places but this place is easily in my new top 5 for seafood.

Everyone was friendly, decorations were cute, place was clean, service was efficient. No complaints 10/10
