This was a great place for lunch. The staff was very friendly and the decor and atmosphere were super fun. The food was amazing; the fish and chips were the best I've had in a long time.

Went with a group of friends the other evening while the place was mostly empty, and we all ordered drinks and food. First, the drinks took forever to come with very long waits between them. The server apologized and said she would take a few drinks off the bill (later checked the receipt and she did not). The food was extremely mediocre for the price, not worth it. I can see why they weren’t busy and won’t be back.
Two piece fish and fries was good. Fries were pale, ask cook longer of you like crispy thin fries. We liked they were extra salted. My chowder was not good nor worth the price. The fish piece wasn't fresh, the vegetables are frozen mixed, one mussel was not delicious and the second was rotten and I had to spit it out, smelled gross. Was told they took the chowder off the bill, that's was it. The PIA was good and worth 7$.
Place is loud, our table beside ATM was sticky and moved. Place feels touristy/sports bar. Not seafood for sure.
After talking to locals who had to return six meals at a Christmas party, and being told the food is often unsafe for consumption, like the seafood chowder I was served with nasty fish and rotten muscles. Everywhere I go on the island I tell people my chowder story as I'm eating their delicious chowder. They all say that place is awful. Not one person who lives here has said Lone Oak is good or trustworthy. Please be careful of what you order.

Our First meal in PEI. Would have rated 5 stars if we only had the sea food chowder. It was really good. The chicken bowl could be better. Nice convenient location near the bridge.

The food was overrated. French fries are thin and too salty. The seafood was delicious, but they didn't care about the burger buns or sides for the price.

Prompt service and delicious food. I highly recommend the chicken club. It's big enough to split/share.

Great food right across the bridge on PEI! They had an amazing gluten free bun and great fries. My partner had the lobster bun and loved it. Very friendly service but you do order at the bar, take your drinks back etc. would be back!

Restaurantji Recommends
From our entire Toronto to Halifax trip, I would say this was the best spot! It's situated just over the bridge in a very cute spot. All of the food we tried was AMAZINGG. I highly recommend the seafood chowder.

Food was great as was the musician outdoors. Only thing that I was not appealed by was you actually had to go up to bar to order your tables orders but they didn’t have enough staff so it was taking quite a while. Forgot to take more food pics and inside so just to see front of building you get my Dad & his Aunt. ☺️
