Cool and breezy in PEI today so we went for a drive. Stumbled upon a gem of a bakery - Mary’s Bake Shoppe, in Kensington. We came away with homestyle bread, sourdough bread, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, baklava, cookies… all delicious and very reasonably priced.
I also saw a sign for butterscotch pie, but she was all out. Gave me her card and said “just call before you come next time and I’ll make sure to have some for you”.
Everything is delicious, with amazing service. Highly recommend!!!

Purchased cinnamon buns, blueberry pie and tea biscuits. Biscuits were good, however, cinnamon buns tasteless so had to add a little sugar and sprinkle on cinnamon. The pie was disgusting. No berries, crust was rock hard and filling was like a gel. Threw it in the garbage.Won’t go back.

Good customer service! Had the strawberry custard pie - it is a seasonal favourite of mine. The custard and berries were delicious. Also get their blueberry bread rolls sometimes and really like those.

Went in today looking for pies for a dinner we were invited to. Got a coconut cream and that was supposed to be Boston cream. The filling in the Boston cream had separated and ruined the crust. The crust was so tough you could not cut it. Coconut cream was better but mostly cream no filling. 2 pies, 6 donuts and a smal bag of some kind of Indian snack was almost$44.00. Overpriced and inedible Boston cream, half stale donuts and a pie crust mostly full of whipped cream. We won't be rushing back

I’m very impressed with this bakery shop! They offer excellent, fresh-quality food including breads, cakes, sandwiches, and more. The new icing cinnamon rolls and potato salad are absolutely fantastic—full of flavor and freshness. The customer service is outstanding—staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. Prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommended!

I recently bought a cake from Mary’s Bake Shoppe and it was absolutely delicious! You can really taste the love and quality in every bite. The texture was perfect, not too sweet, and beautifully decorated. Everyone at the party kept asking where it was from. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something homemade and special. I’ll definitely be back for more!
