A great place to stay! New owners were extremely welcoming and helpful during my stay. Breakfast was great and rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
Great spot to stay! Centrally located. Close to confederation trail and restaurants in Kensington.
We thoroughly enjoyed 3 days/nights in the John Wilfred room at this lovely B&B.
Our bed was so comfortable, the room was spacious and the ensuite washroom with walk-in shower was perfect for our needs.
The new owners (Beth & Andrew) were lovely and we enjoyed 3 delicious home cooked breakfasts, served by Beth.
The location is very close to Cavendish, Summerside, Thunder Cove and many other locations.
There are lovely areas both outside and inside to enjoy quiet time. Plus the Inn has a lot of historical aspects.
I highly recommend this wonderful B&B as you will not be disappointed.
When we first heard The Home Place had changed hands we were a bit concerned. But that concern quickly went away when we were treated by Beth and shown to our room! It was lovely.
And Best, she was amazing! She even handled making our dinner reservations for us!
Lastly, our breakfast was great!!
Thank you for a lovely stay!!
Stayed for 3 days at the Home Place Inn and the new owners were fantastic. Very accommodating and willing to help with my dietary restrictions (Gluten free). My room was clean and sanitary, felt just at home.
The old Victorian aesthetic was beautiful and the location was perfect, restaurants nearby and lots of places to walk and enjoy the sun.
Greg was great and we really enjoyed our stay. Thoughtful and personable, plus Sam (the dog) was such a nice bonus! Breakfast was great as well, highly recommended.
We stayed at the Home Place Inn recently during our travels in PEI. Greg and his family have done a wonderful job of adding character to the property by putting up pictures and memorabilia of its original owners and builders from the 1800s, even naming the rooms after the children of the first owner and having this theme running through the entire decor. Greg himself is a top-notch host - incredibly welcoming, generous, and cheerful at all times! (I wish I could be upbeat like that despite whatever is going on in my life). You actually get to choose your breakfast from a list of yummy hot breakfast options. The Confederation trail is a short walk from the bnb, which is in a nice, quiet part of town and yet only a short walk to shops and cafes. Highly recommend this place!
What an excellent experience! My wife and I stayed here for three nights in August of 2024 and were super impressed with the place and its hard-working owner Greg. He cared about every detail, and was cheerful at all times, despite his very recent personal loss. Nights were comfy and quiet for sleeping, and breakfasts were great. I wish I could give it TEN stars instead of five!

We had an amazing stay at the Home Place Inn. Greg and his family were such amazing hosts from the moment we pulled in. The old house was very charming with a very unique history. Breakfast was awesome with a number of different options. Our room was spacious, clean and had a spotless bathroom.

We had the most wonderful cozy stay. The house was so charming and in such a great location. The room was perfect, comfy bed and huge spa to take a relaxing bath after a long day of exploring. The breakfast was incredible, and made with love. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and helped us out with great tips for things to see and do. This place is absolutely worth a visit. Thank you so much team!Nearby activities: Had an incredible dinner at the train station pub a short walk from the Airbnb. Best fries I’ve ever had! And fish tacos were unreal.

This is a place that was cozy and beautiful to settle into after our long drive to PEI. By the 2nd night it already felt like home. Greg and Ange are incredibly warm and kind people who take their business seriously and are also passionate about the inn. It was wonderful to chat with them and the guests that came from all over the world. The setting makes it so easy become acquainted with the other guests in no time. The place is beautiful and the Breakfasts are hearty and very tasty. Furthermore, the inn is in close driving distance of beautiful landscapes, beaches, antique shops, fantastic ice cream (Holman's) and a Haunted mansion. Suffice it to say, I look forward to going back.

We had the absolute best time staying at the Home Place. My entire bridal party stayed for two nights and we all got ready there on my wedding day. The breakfast was absolutely incredible and Greg and Angie made us feel right at home. My husband and I stayed there for a few days afterward and had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and Angie was very quick to check if there was anything we needed. The breakfast area is beautiful and I truly cannot say enough good things about the food. One of my bridesmaids was vegan and gluten free and they accommodated her no problem. We will be going back for many future anniversaries to come!

I stayed at The Home Place for 4 nights when I was visiting PEI for my friend's wedding! Angie and Greg are fantastic hosts, my room (The Daisy) was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. I eat gluten-free and vegan and Angie accommodated my dietary restrictions safely and without batting an eye. It really meant a lot to me and the food was delicious (see photo for gluten free & vegan blueberry french toast!). I can't say enough good things about The Home Place, I wish I could have moved in!
