This review does not need an extensive description of the food and service here. I'ts simply the best restaurant in PEI. If you have the time and means enjoy this wonderful establishment.

PEI was a stop on our cruise, and we rented a car to explore the island. Since tourist season is over, many restaurants were closed, but we were lucky to catch Blue Mussel just days before they shut down for the season. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, but the food—oh, the food—was AMAZING. While we don’t usually prefer lobster, I ordered a lobster roll as a "when in Rome" moment, and we both agreed it was what lobster should taste like. The flavor, freshness, and texture were all perfect; it’s something we’ll be talking about for a long time. My partner had the seafood chowder poutine, which was equally delicious. The chowder was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and the potato wedges complemented it beautifully. Whenever we find ourselves back in PEI, Blue Mussel will definitely be on our list for at least one meal!

The Location is amazing. it was cold and drafty but they provided blankets and heaters. The Brushetta we had was the highlight of the lunch. The linguine was the saltiest pasta I have ever had and the chicken was extremely dry. Won’t be getting again

We came as the restaurant was highly recommended. There was a 20 minute wait time, just enough to watch kite-surfing at the nearby beach! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all great. Love it!

We were told that the Blue Mussel Cafe is a “must do” - and it’s true! The large bowl of mussels is huge! At least 40 mussels. Seafood chowder was a hit too! The pan fried haddock not so much (had better elsewhere)

Excellent ambience and incredible food.

Vegetarian options: Despite being a seafood restaurant, the linguine was fabulous.
