Overall, a decent dinner spot in a rustic tourist town. It has potential.
Had the salmon linguine alfredo, it was good. IMO alfredo should be sauce, not soup, and this was too much on the soupy side for my liking. The salmon on top was great, but the salmon pieces inside the pasta weren't as good. I'm not sure if it was a different type of salmon or they were simply cooked more. Just having the salmon on top, rather than in the sauce, might have been better. Portion size was perfect.
I loved the complimentary bread and tomato topping (which I felt was closer to pico de gallo than bruschetta). The bread was toasted and buttered, very tasty.
Lack of selection of nonalcoholic beverages (only pop and coffee/tea), no mocktails.

An overrated restaurant. The qualify of the food was fine, but with too much seasoning, very salty. The service was poor. We waited for the waitress (probably owner's wife) to serve 5 other tables, yet she did not have the patience to answer one simple question. When we asked the difference between 2 similar dishes, she quickly said she did not know. Totally unprofessional!!! And she was not attentive at all.

This was by far the best restaurant we experienced while traveling in PEI. It was too bad we ate there on our last day, otherwise we would have returned to try other dishes. I had an item off the specials - Lamb Shank in flavorful tomato based sauce, and my wife had clam linguine - also off the specials menu. We also had bread pudding and lemon parfait type dessert. Everything was outstanding! Our table neighbor recommended house made pastrami sandwich - he was celebrating his 80s birthday and drove a long way to be at Pedro’s.

Fantastic pasta. We ordered the Linguine two salmon Alfredo, featuring both smoked and grilled fresh salmon. This dish was amazing and is one of the best seafood pastas I have ever tried. I am normally not a fan of smoked salmon, but the cooked version of it here was very tasty. Not to mention the grilled fresh salmon which was great. Considering the ingredients used, I felt that the price here was quite reasonable as well.
The caesar salad... was awful (but the pasta makes up for it). Strangely, the bacon was not cut and presented as whole strips. The pieces of lettuce were huge (not bite-sized) and bitter, croutons were hard to bite into, and worst of all, there was way too much caesar dressing drizzled all over the plate. Would have been better to get veggies from another meal and just ordered 2 pasta dishes.
That said, definitely try the pasta here.

I've never had a better meal! Three of us shared mussels in white wine and two specials, linguini with scallops and shrimp in a spicy red sauce, and shrimp and clams in a different red sauce. Everything was absolutely perfect. Scallops were succulent and perfectly cooked without a hint of rubberyness. Shrimp were lightly browned on the edges, again perfect. Mussels in white wine were in an amazing white wine/ butter sauce with just a hint of shallot and scallion. That appetizer came with grilled bread, we asked for more to soak up the delicious broth.
I'm pretty sure that the scallops and mussels were local (maybe from the wharf 200 yards from the restaurant), they were very fresh and flavorful. Pasta was homemade (I think) and perfectly cooked al dente. All the dishes were precisely flavored, no salt or pepper needed. The kitchen's skill was apparent, lots of subtle flavors working in perfect balance.
Thanks, Milu and Pedro, for a wonderful experience! We'll definitely be back on our next visit to PEI.
