Hoss's Fish 'n' Chips

Worst customer service, no hello/hi. Made ignorant face and bad impression.
Very bad fries seems very old so soggy and burnt.
Never going back

Whike passing through Summerside we tried Hoss's. We were hoping for a sitdown place but found out after arriving it was takeout only. Very large portions and we ended up ordering too much for our meal. Heated the leftovers up the next day for lunch.

Loads of French fries. The fish was cooked right ✅️ 😋. A bit heavy on the batter. Overall! A good experience.

The absolute worst fish & chips.
Fish was so so . French fry were maybe cooked a few days ago dry,,wrinkled, and cold. So much for their good reviews. Would not recommend.

They have a lovely pan fried haddock, average popcorn chicken poutine, regular poutine and clubhouse dinner but the lobster rolls aren't very good. One of the cashier's was leaving while the other was just beginning so there was quiet a bit of change over issues that resulted in us not receiving all that we asked for/paid for. There's no seating area, and there was a wait but nothing extensive. This was my second attempt there, the last time (2.years ago) I ordered ahead and was not greeted, waited 1 hour for my food while being ignored by the cashier (not even greeted) for my food which they forgot my food... so yay it went slightly better than last time but I'm not overly impressed with the service.

They give an insane amount of fries. No where to sit inside but they made a little picnic table booth outside which was cool.

We were passing through the Summerside area around lunch time and came upon Hoss's. The friendly lady at the till assured us that the Seafood Platter, which we decided to get, is enough for 2. And boy was she right! The plate was absolutely huge! There were 2 large pieces of haddock, shrimps, bacon wrapped scallops, clam strips, and lots of fries. The fish was moist and tender in a crispy batter. The shrimp and scallops were tasty and crunchy. The fries were amazing and everything was piping hot. Definitely worth the price paid. Wish we could try other items on their menu. BTW the place is take-away only.

We come here every trip to PEI. Huge variety of memu items, all of the food we have ordered has been amazing and the staff are wonderful.

Highly recommend checking out Hoss's Fish 'n' Chips if you have the opportunity!
