Ate in, no utensils, no water just the beginning. The batter on the fish was uneven, crispy on the outside mucky on the inside. The poutine encompassed 20% of fries and cole slaw was soupy. Looks were deceiving. At best I wouldn't give it 1 star
Went here tonight and was looking at the food menu, lady yell out the window rudely said “if your looking at food the fryer is off” meanwhile online states being opened till 830 on Sundays. We were there at 745. I mentioned this to the lady and she was rude blaming the owners saying they haven’t changed the hours and they turn their fryers off and leave at 8. Even if your open till 8 you should serve food and ice cream till 8. Poor customer service and how blunt and rude the lady was working I will not be returning. I will take my business somewhere that knows how to serve and treat customers while their business is “open”.

Service was great, portion size was great, fish was incredibly overcooked. Like I'm talking chewy like fish jerky. I'm not super picky but this place may not be the best place to go for fish and chips. There is a better place just down the road - keep driving!

Poor service. Waited at pick up window for 10 minutes while food was sitting there and employee kept waiting on customers coming up to order ice cream. 8 people got served while I waited. Finally a guy come from back and asked if i was there for pickup. I said yes. And my foods right their and has been for 15 minutes. Ordered a chocolate shake as well, and might as well ordered a chocolate milk it was so runny. Not impressed.

They've come under new ownership, so my father and I decided to give them a try. Customer service was A+. Smiling faces, quick and accurate service, good conversation. The food was excellent. We had the bacon wrapped scallops special with fries. Perfectly cooked, tasty food. Topped it off with a scoop of ice cream. Also excellent. The portions were large and we got great value for what we spent. So glad they're back and better than ever. Looking forward to returning!

It was okay. We were in the area and decided to stop in. First of all, the place is clean and very cute in its dining room decor...retro colorful furniture. Hubby ordered the hot hamburger sandwich and I ordered the scallop burger with onion rings. We each ordered a milkshake..not my first choice for a drink, but they do not have coffee or tea. My scallop burger was okay...the bun was not warm, but cool and the scallops kept falling out of the burger. The onion rings were good. Hubby's sandwich was good...fries were of the frozen variety, not handcut. His biggest complaint was = the disposable bamboo or whatever they were cutlery. They were flimsy. his knife broke as he was attempting to cut through the bread. All the cutlery, plates, cups etc are disposable. food was okay...nothing more
Always a great stop. Unfortunately soft icecream wasnt working.

Exactly what you expect when you think of a classic east coast dairy bar. Friendly staff, all the usual greasy foods(in a good way!) and lots of ice cream flavours. Loved coming here as a kid and still love coming here now 20 years later every time we visit from Ontario. Only down side to this place is they do close a little on the early side .

Went to this spot on July 30. They are very scared to put hamburger on their hot hamburger. If anybody else goes there DO NOT order that! Mostly you are eating bread. There might be 2 ounces of hamburger on two pieces of bread. Horrible how restaurants can make smaller portions And charge double and can get away with it! Anyway, all in all that will never happen again because that was my last visit there. If you do order there, just ask for a hot bread sandwich, because thats all you will get anyway. Not happy at all.
