I stopped by this restaurant for big breakfast. The coffee is awesome. The food is divine. Overall cleanliness of the place is spot on. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Very pleasant to work with. If I could give it a higher rating I would. Definitely coming back here again in the near future.

A delightful hole-in-the-wall gem, tucked away in a crusty decrepit mini-mall with locked washrooms.Properly folded omelettes, which you rarely see done right in restaurants. Generous portions. Delish overall.

A simple little cafe on water street in the McNeil's mall across from the laundry mat. Homey atmosphere and amazing service. 3 of us got a meal for 37 bucks with coffee and got it in 10 minutes of ordering. The food: Only place in Summerside doing poached eggs and they do them well. Home fries can be grilled or deep fried and they don't skimp on the meat considering the price. My omelet was presented rolled around the bacon which made it look as good as it tasted. Portions are perfect, offering a healthy sized portion but nothing overpowering the rest of the dish (no mountain of home fries but just the right amount) And the coffee is the best in town, much better than any of the chains or local shops and they keep it fresh. Final thoughts: This is the best breakfast nook in Summerside by leaps and bounds. Get in there and try it!

Absolutely appalling service. The cafe smelled like an ashtray ? I was served wet cold greasy mush that was supposed to be home fries and raw bacon. Then the owner screamed at us to get out when we tried to ask for it to be cooked properly. And said everyone else orders and likes raw bacon so we should have told her we wanted it over done. Also while we were waiting for a food, a customer was at the cash complaining about his meal and service too. This is 1000000% not the star cafe we know and loved. Will not step foot in "my joy star cafe". I wouldn't even give it a one star if that was possible!

Sat there for 20min with no coffee or order being put it. I asked for a coffee they put on a pot and took the other pot around to the tables. Will not be going back and will not recommend!As for the comment below which i can not respond to for some reason! There were may 8 people in the whole place and when i went to the counter and asked for a coffee you still didn't get me one. Just a total disappointment. Don't make it sound like you were busy because i was sitting in front of the counter side!Where are the previous worker that were there and actually done something?
