we stumbled upon this place while waiting for our laundry. so charming and very local. 2 coffees + custard meringue pastry + ham and cheese toasties for Euro 8 and the ambience was great. Decor very interesting with washbasin like ancient roman washbasin, 70s vibe with cigarette machine in the corner. if I stayed around the neighbourhood would go here for breakfast every day. large selection of pastries, good coffee. the 2 ladies behind the counter didn't speak English but coffee is universal and they were busy but efficient. such a throwback . reminded me of old coffee places in the 1980s
