Just a bizarre and disappointing experience. Plastic plates. A sad little selection of packets of tuna paste, cheese spread and butter brought to your table when you arrive with some stale bread. Then they didn’t have any of the starters we wanted on the menu. Fine - ordered mains. The breaded calamari and prawns were really good - but they came with a one big boiled potato cut in half and done over cooked, grey, canned vegetables. The grilled seabass was nice but had been hacked open and then thrown on the plate. I really didn’t understand what the great reviews were about. Yes seafood was decent but literally everything else was poor. Service bizarre and hard to ever get the guys attention. They had one guy serving about 8 tables. And finally - do not go there for the wine. Awful. House white is cheap, sweet fizz that tastes like Lambrini. And you can’t order wine by the glass either. Such an odd and depressing experience all round. Won’t ever go back.

Visited several times during recent 10 day stay locally. Been back multiple times over several years, Still simple fresh seafood, friendly service, excuisite location. Unable to reserve in advance, just arrive and you can get a cold drink and enjoy the view as you await your table. Good price (increasing slightly, but show me somewhere that isn’t these days ). Yes sometimes seemed a bit under pressure/disorganised but EVERY business worldwide under staffing pressures in recent times. Highly recommended, and we look forward to returning in 2023!!!

So we are Resident here in Portugal now for over 3 years and today we went with close friends for a late lunch. We have been many times before to this great setting and had Lovely relaxed lunches with Great Service and excellent food…..however…… We know that if you arrive later than 12.30 you must wait…no problem had two beers and two Vino Verdes while waiting After around 30 mins minimum the four of us to get a table…all good. Nice table again on the new Decking.. all good. Then it all went wrong…… The waiter took our drinks order…of two beers one Zero..Alc and a litre of White Sangria…. zero turned up with Sangria….no beer for me….asked again nothing…asked again and all good but weak watered beer in a great cold alloy mug? We ordered our food and waited….several couples etc followed us in and they unfortunately received there food before us….my wife who’s pre Birthday treat it was …..given her plate of food. Then more than 30mins later I had to ask where were the other three persons food. Now I am getting frustrated….spoke to waiter…. Then told again it was on the way northing …… So I got up to see the boss …..then suddenly the second dish is there…. Still nothing for myself and Simon. Then my dish arrived cold and looking like it had sat around in the kitchen for how long? Simons Shrimp arrived at 42 Euros per Kg ….not looking at its best….. the girl to be honest was most apologetic…but not her fault. Now I cook a lot of quite good level of food…..but this plate I could not even look at it was that bad. Tuna Steak with Potatoes and Veg…it was covered in over cooked Onion and looked rubbish…… Then sorry but I had enough and had to walk out, as to sit and wait for that level of food, I will not eat rubbish for the sake of the cooks in that kitchen….no way. But I was offered an alternative - by then It was too late for me…..! Fair play again the girl who did not take our order originally and was very nice did not charge our friends for my rubbish meal. Will We go there again …probably …but would like to speak to the owner next time as it is a great setting and deserves more than this poor review…..Desculpes….. Peter & Marilyn.

By far my favorite restaurant in Portugal! This locals place was recommended to us by our Hotel and they did not steer us wrong! Super romantic right next to the ocean, with a rustic interior. Pros: * Local fresh caught seafood * Very romantic location * Great wine list * Tons of fish for the price * Super friendly waitstaff Cons: * Tiny restaurant and does not do reservations so get there before 8! * You need a car to get there unless you are staying nearby

This place is perfectly located in the Peniche region. Highly recommended to sit in the terrace area, which is near the rocks and you are able to see the sea coastline and really enjoy the sunny days. The seafood is fresh, delicious, and not overpriced. One thing to be pointed out is that the restaurant is closed during the winter due to the sea level.
