Authentic Portuguese food at its very best. I had to head early to get a seat, it’s small, friendly and packs a big heart. Such a wonderful place with a compact and tasty menu. Locally sourced, highly recommended if you are ever in Lisbon and want to eat somewhere the locals love. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful experience.

I was intrigued by the positive reviews and the Tripadvisor reward so I wanted to this place out particularly as it was around the corner from our hotel. But what a disappointing experience… When the waiter arrived we asked for olives and he immediately plonked down olives, bread and butter on the table followed by an offer of cheese. The olives were Eur 1.80 byt clearly there would have been charges on each individual item so we asked all items but the olives to be removed. We ordered lamb tacos (Eur 12.50) and grilled octopus (Eur 14). Although the waiter did say the dishes were small I did perhaps not expect them to be this small… The lamp tacos consisted of two tiny tacos which admittedly were delicious but could not justify the price. The grilled octopus dish was larger but that was only due to a few more vegetables adding a bit of volume to the dish… The most realistically priced item was 0.5L of beer at Eur 3.80… Fortunately we were not very hungry and did not ask for desert. The bill? Eur 37.90 including water (filtered?) at Eur 2.00 and two large beers… The waiter offered a glass of schnapps to the other guests but it would appear our bill did not justify such generosity… The setting is very pleasant and the little food we had was nice. Most of the customers were tourists like ourselves. I am sad to say this is a “tourist trap” to be avoided….

Delicious in a street side cafe. We liked the breaded fish and stewed veal dishes that came with rice and fries. Server was friendly and helpful.

Súper recomendado, todo súper fresco, delicioso, el arroz con fríjoles delicioso, las papas fritas caseras, crocantes magnificas. De los mejores sitios en carretera para compartir alimento bien preparados. Volvería sin lugar a dudas!

Highly recommended, everything super fresh, delicious, delicious rice with beans, homemade fries, magnificent crispy. One of the best places on the road to share well-prepared food. I would return without a doubt!

This is a very nice restaurant in a very nice part of town. Far from the crowds and touristic spots. Highly recommended for small plates. Also nice wine list

Our hotel in Lisbon was close to Campo Pequeno not in the very centre of the town. Going around looking for a restaurant near the hotel we ended up randomly in this little restaurant. WE were very lucku to find a table, the last one, without reservation. This tiny spot offers delicious authentic Portuguese cuisine. We shared different dishes. Grilled octopus, fried cuttlefish pork cheeks, parmigiana, chorizo, fried potatoes. The 2 guys who run the restaurant are very nice and helpfull with the menu. Affordable price

Went here on first night arrival to our hotel which is a few minutes walk. Small, very small, space with some covered pavement seating. Food is Portuguese with a small menu but offering excellent variety. The dishes come as similar to tapas style eating but are larger portions. Ideal for sharing or one each. We were advised three mains probably enough for two of us and that certainly was the case. The service is really warm, friendly and helpful. We tried Oxtail pie, pork cheeks, pica pau (veal stew), octopus, cod amongst others, over two visits. Yes, it was so enjoyable first time, we went back. The restaurant is popular with locals so while they do walk ins where possible, it might be advisable to make a reservation. Relax and enjoy authentic fare iin a local setting. Note it is cash only.

This restaurant was enthusiastically recommended by the concierge at our hotel, and we soon learned why. My wife and I shared two dishes: Pica Pau (a sort of veal stew with an amazing gravy) and pork cheeks in a rich dark sauce. While very different from each other, they were both fantastic! Along with the bread and olives we received at the beginning of the meal and an extremely tasty dessert we shared, this was plenty for dinner for the two of us. With our meal, we had a bottle of a great red wine recommended by our server. We finished with a complimentary shot of Ginja each. Note that this is a very small establishment. They have no website and accept ONLY CASH.

We went here on lunch with family. Very good food (even for children) and service, for a very good price. I recommend this place.

Looking for a simple place to get some authentic dishes in the neighborhood we were in…and we landed here. There are only few tables inside and outside, reservation is recommended. The staff was extremely friendly and nice. The menu is rather short, it all fits on one page, and everything is kind of snacks (or tapas), yet with a nice variety. Much more important, we worked ourselves through all but two items of the menu, and it was all very delicious. We much enjoyed the dinner and warmly recommend it!

Catered for my nut allergy. Food was really good quality. Helpful staff. But very busy! So if you are going to go try and book when you can. They spend a lot of time turning people away.
