I just visited ‘A Chaminé’ in Alandroal and I must say that the experience was exceptional! The food is not only delicious, but also authentically typical, making it a real gastronomic pleasure. A dish not to be missed: black pork, absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The boss is incredibly welcoming and contributes greatly to the warm atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to taste the real cuisine of the region. A must-visit!
After a tour of the Alandroal castle, we entered the "Chaminé" restaurant and what a good surprise we had. Excellent Alentejo food. Beautiful cod stew and the grilled plums are delicious. Not to mention the sweets, the sericaia and the parsley plant.Mr. Zé was very attentive in his care and very patient with the youngest member of the family .We left with our bellies and hearts full.
This is where my mom and I ate the best porco preto of our lives! We were traveling south on Alentejo, and on the way back we drove many extra kms, to pass by Alandroal just to eat at this restaurant again! The pork is cooked to order, it can't be any fresher. We went with the cuts the owner/server recommended and were amazed!
