Firstly, I don’t normally do reviews but this restaurant was so awful I just had to. We had the starters…. We should have just left after this, I had prawns in garlic, I’m eating them and something doesn’t taste right, I’m looking at them and they aren’t looking right, as if they have been cooked and frozen again then cooked and re froze, my partner had the wings… they had 0 flavour, oily and left an awful after taste, causing us to leave over half of each starter. It gets worse with the main…. We stayed hoping they could pull through and show us some real traditional peri peri…. This was NOT the case, my partner order half a chicken, the chicken he got was tiny, chopped up and on a plate, it came with peri peri sauce…… this was oil which had chilli flakes in it again no flavour, our garlic bread was bread with garlic oil on it, my dinner was peri chicken and chips, the chicken was flat, oily and no peri flavour at all, the only decent thing we ate was the chips, I have never eaten such terrible food and wanted to leave a restaurant so soon after eating,(that’s just after the starters), we were never asked how the food was and they knew better to ask this. This restaurant caused me to have an upset stomach not too long after leaving, I haven’t felt so sick! I would NOT recommend eating here!!

Food is lovely, it seems to me as if the 1 star reviews are from people who have not read the menu correctly or do not understand the tradition that the guys at Agapito uphold.They are some of friendliest people to be served by. My grandad frequented this restaurant during his many travels to Portugal and never had a bad thing to say about the food, service and prices.I have been many times too and I can say, grandad was right. Thank you to all the staff :)

Slecht, vieze slappe snotterige frietjes (kon gebeuren volgens de serveerster). Rode wijn koud geserveerd en op houtskool bakken? Hmm, dat betwijfel ik. Niet lekker.
The chicken is quite good as is the service, good quality/price ratio. Whenever we go to Albufeira we pass by this restaurant and it doesn't disappoint.

We came for lunch. They advertise half a small piri piri chicken with an appetising photo showing a decent sized portion. When it arrived, it was hard to believe a small chicken could actually be that small! The portion was minute. The cheese and onion omelette lacked any onion. One of our party was still eating, when all the plates were removed by the waitress - we were speechless!! The bill arrived, we were charged for 2 portions of bread , butter and olives but we only ordered one and also for a large bottle of water when we had a small one. When we pointed this out to the waitress she said we had eaten 2 butters, and all the olives and therefore we were charged for 2 portions. Surely if you ask for one portion, you assume that what is delivered to your table is one portion?! A young man was seated and given a menu and when he went to order his lunch, was told the restaurant had closed!
