Well I am not a fussy diner by any means, but we were asked in by the man outside who said all the food was fresh,(not true frozen veg)shown to our table by an arrogant and surly man I assume was maybe the owner or head waiter ,another man took our drink order who was equally as rude and abrupt. The head waiter came back to take our order (never see him again until bill paying time)food was served by another man who had not even taken the order did not have any cutlery as I had used it with my starter when I asked if I could get a knife and fork it appeared to be an inconvenience but I let it go. No person asked how our food was during the whole meal the customer service was appalling with no attention to the customer at all.The end of the evening when I was greeted with would you like a desert I said no just the bill please, 10min later I got up to see what was going on and told to relax as we will come to serve you(that would have been a first) bill finally came with over the top references to ok boss yes boss no problem boss (sarcasm) which made me very angry I thought that was completely unacceptable I have been in the catering trade for 20 years i know how it works. Apart from the take it or leave it we couldn't care less attitude the food was bland and underseasoned.

Viewing the menu outside and a tourist walking by highly recommended it from their own personal experience. Decided to try it. The positives Lovely building if a little dated and old fashioned. Great location in the Old Town. The negatives All 3 of us did not enjoy our meals. The bread starter was okay but do not see the point of the mass produced little spreads of pate and cheese. Seemed cheap. Tuna steak was very very salty and the carrots looked like they were straight from a tin or frozen....not fresh. The mixed kebab meat was tough and inedible. The seafood rice ...though sure this is not what we got we got ....was tasteless and full of shells. Huge pot for one person which was mostly left full. The service was okay though it was hard to determine who they were as no uniforms, very casual looking. The complimentary port at the end was not the best On leaving we heard a ding dong in the kitchen. We expected a fine dining experience but it did not meet our expectations. The interior could be special but using supermarket salt and pepper condiments seemed cheap. The food was not high quality. Our worse meal in Portugal. On leaving our friend spotted others checking the menu out and advised them not to bother. The street canvasser person told her to "stop it" but didn't seem to be too bothered when a person told us to go in.

Beautiful room and the Fado music was so atmospheric. The food was lovely, but be aware they offer you bread, pate and spread but this is not free and will be added to the bill along with service charge. Still well worth the cost. The clam and pork cataplana was really tasty and plenty of it and the Portuguses swordfish was exceptional too.

We had the most amazing meal and overall dining experience at this hidden gem. The staff were absolutely brilliant and made us feel so welcome, valued and looked after us so well. The food quality was exceptional and we would not hesitate to return. We had lamb chops and the mixed kebab. We loved Kim and Carlos! Whilst this restaurant may not be pavement dining, the exterior was exquisite and unique

Gorgeous place to eat for dinner on the balcony, I would advise you to rebook for a balcony seat. Service was good food is ok but I will say it’s stuck in the 90s, tasted good so no complaints. Bottle of house white with sea bass and a steak €58

A fabulous evening, sitting on the balcony people watching whilst eating beautifully prepared food. Fresh fish, local wine, a charming host and helpful staff , the evening ended with a complimentary port. Perfect

Awful all the way, dreadful tasteless food, rude staff, (not all to be fair, there was 1 who was polite! ) don’t think they like tourists. The best thing I can say is to avoid it!

We love this place, the food is great and the service is brilliant. We have been twice and ordered fish both times (sea bass and sea bream) which gets deboned at your table. We also ordered the house white and house red wines and both were really good. The staff make great recommendations and are humorous and engaging.

Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner. A quaint side-street option with beautiful interior. On a busy August Saturday night the service was faultless; responsive, personable and kind. My wife had the 'chef special' octupus, which she loved and the portion was plentiful, while I had surf and turf which was a perfectly cooked fillet of beef and prawns. Also very reasonably priced for the quality of food, so we tipped generously.

Quite a grand place on first arrival but actually quite shabby when you've sat down on wobbly chairs and had a proper look round. There seemed to be only 2 waiters who were run off their feet. Young guy was quiet but friendly, the older waiter was miserable, rude and impatient. Youngest daughter wanted lamb chops, he said it would take 30 minutes. We asked her if she wanted to change her mind but he rudely took over the conversation and insisted she have the chops. My wife ordered the vegetable lasagna to which he replied 'you'll be lucky'. My beer arrived in a branded cider glass (pet hate!) with a 2 inch head off overflowing foam. The bread and butter came with cheap prepacked commercial pate and charged at 4 euros each! Luckily the main courses were actually very impressive and huge portions all round. My rice with seafood came in its own pot and I had 3 big servings. In summary, the food is great but I can't recommend due to the bad service and interior. Also quite expensive considering we went to Alfredo (opposite) the previous night and had a much better meal with extra courses in a amazing venue for less money!

We loved it. Service and food fantastic. Music an added extra. Whole thing felt like a really welcoming and family friendly experience.

From arrival to departure, the experience was excellent. We tried the window seats initially, however it was extremely hot in the early evening sun. The team did not have any issue in relocating us to a cooler corner of the fantastic room. It transpires the guy who appeared to be in charge was indeed the proprietor and was a Teaching Chef himself we learned. You could tell, the attention to detail, enthusiasm and quality of service was excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending this venue. From the promises at the door, to departure, they well and truly delivered with the meals being absolutely amazing. Thank you.

We had an excellent dinner at The Atrium. We were drawn in by the live traditional music coming from the windows, and loved the entire experience. The menu was traditional and excellent, and the music was the same. The wait staff was also great.
