Part of Alfagar hotel complex. Very cozy terrace with authentic atmosphere. Food certainly okay and not too expensive. We ate there several times (in the afternoon there are cheap dishes such as toasts, club sandwiches, salads, but there is also an extensive menu with meat, fish and pasta...). We ate the cataplana, Greek salad, pork chops, Alfagar pasta, club sandwich, tuna toast, calamari... all delicious. The sangria is freshly made here. The only major disadvantage is the service: there are 2 good waiters (both women), but the others really don't see any work: you have to ask for the menu yourself, call someone to order, and some even ignore you. The service is really substandard (but we experienced this in several places in Portugal. Maybe that service attitude is not so ingrained in this country?). I asked for a portion of bread at the Cataplana and had to ask 3(!) times and wait 25 minutes for it while my food got cold. However, if you are not in a hurry and you are assertive enough to call the waiters yourself or order something at the bar, then I would definitely recommend it given the very pleasant atmosphere.

In general the food is good, however I did not like their pizza. Service can be really slow if it's crowded, once we waited for more than half an hour because they did not want to notice us. Usually there is some kind of entertainment (live music, karaoke etc.) too.

Amazing restaurant in a very low key location, Cataplana sea food dish was fantastic and service was incredible, we came here 3 out of 4 days as we were so pleased with the service, hope to come again! :)

This restaurant had a nice vibe, however, it was over a two hour wait for food (with a young toddler) and the waiting staff not very attentive and didn’t offer a second drinks order.
When the food arrived at was good, particularly the salmon, and well presented.
Kid-friendliness: Not great for kids given the long wait for food, although a high chair was available which was good.
