A very disappointing experience, things started out wrong when we ordered a wine, Planalto, which usually is not more the 10-12€, it was 18.50€ ante the bottle came already opened to the table which is not a good sign.
The restaurant was not full, it had 2/3 of it's capacity filled, we started by ordering salted mushrooms for starters and then one Polvo à Lagareiro, one Bife à Portuguesa and two Carne à Portuguesa.
We waited one hour for the mushrooms to be delivered and it was poor, six mushrooms with no flavour on a fancy plate to make it look like gourmet and the mushrooms were clearly canned from the local market, not something you would pay 8.50€ for.
When questioned about this the staff dismissed saying that it was because they were full and that the kitchen only had one cook.
The dishes then took another 45 minutes to arrive and what arrived first was the octopus and it was a sorry excuse for a dish, two tentacles and a handful of potatoes, 22.50€, I'm sorry but this is not acceptable, we decided this was not worth it and left and the other dishes were not even ready.
Overall the restaurant is overpriced and does not have the infrastructure to handle orders if more then a handful of tables are seated, do not recommend.

Quite expensive food, 'gourmet' portions that leave something to be desired. The service took a long time as there was only one cook there that day and when complained, the employees are responsive.

I went with 3 friends, we ordered a starter to share (sautéed mushrooms) and 4 dishes, with wine to accompany. After 30 minutes we asked if they had forgotten, or if there was a problem. We were told it was almost there. After 15 minutes the starter arrived, and there were 6 small mushrooms with grated carrots to decorate. Another 15 minutes, and only one of the dishes arrived, and it was two (2) small octopus tentacles à lagareiro (>20€). The reasons for the delay were explained with very lame excuses and always with an air of disdain on the part of the employees. We ended up leaving without eating 1 hour after arriving, something that had never happened to me. I hope they improve the service and prices, because a restaurant is either bad or expensive, both are difficult to sustain.

We came to the restaurant and ordered typical Portuguese dishes with mushrooms for starters. Restaurant was practically full but it took almost 1 hour to bring a starter with 6 mushrooms. He told the waiter that he found it unacceptable all this time to wait for this quantity of mushrooms, and justified himself by saying that it was normal to have to wait as the kitchen was very busy. Therefore, if you come to this “full” restaurant, you can bring a console to entertain yourself. I also advise you to ask for the air conditioning to be turned on on a hot night as it is very hot in there (despite the boss complaining about turning on the air conditioning). Never.

One of the best places where we have eaten in Albufeira, one of the only places that is far from attractive to tourists. We have eaten very well compared to the rest of the places in town, one of the best places in relation to quality and price. I recommend the cod au bras and the stroganoff. To repeat!

We ordered grilled cod and it was on point. We ordered a chicken stroganoff and compared to other restaurants in the area, the best I have ever had.
I recommend it

Too bad the quantity was insufficient for my taste but very good.
I find the prices a little high, besides we were the only ones eating.
In terms of atmosphere, no TV even though there was a World Cup match and no music either.

Restaurantji Recommends
My husband and I loved it, in fact, we don't usually write reviews of any restaurant where we go, but we firmly believe that they deserve it.
The food has a very good presentation and is delicious, the boss is very friendly, he knows how to speak Spanish, which here in Albufeira is a luxury, because almost everyone speaks in English.
And the waitress is very affectionate and friendly.
We loved the place, the food and its people.
I recommend it 100% and especially if you miss the warm treatment of feeling like you have always known each other.
All the best.
