Unfortunately all of the food was exceptionally bland, this was also the most expensive meal we had & disappointed as we looked forward to a Mexican meal! Hopefully they can take the feedback from customers to make this restaurant much better as the location is great
Went here on my first night in Albufeira, staff were really friendly and gotta say the food was good. I’ve seen some reviews of this place on this app and I honestly can’t say I had the same issues cos the cheese garlic bread and beef fajitas were banging, would absolutely recommend
Never go there, the food is absolutely disgusting and expensive. Not even real meat.. just look at the picture.. and it was the same for ribs and chicken. Avoid this restaurant and the italian one next to it because it’s the same owner..
Absolutely dreadful chicken enchildas. Inedible....just appeared to be blasted in a microwave with spreadable cheese on top. When server asked hiw it was and I said nit good, he didn't reply. I ordered a margarita too ..just ice. AVOID!!
This was really disappointing. We were looking forward to a Mexican meal but this was the most expensive meal of our holiday and also the worst. The food was bland and tasteless. The seats were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The saving grace fir us was that we sat outside where it was cooler. The staff were lovely though. I think they possibly think as they cater for tourists it doesn't matter as they probably won't be back.
If you’re a fan of Mexican food then you have to visit La Cantina. Food was absolutely delicious we had to come back. The burritos and the chicken enchiladas were both so so good! Staff can’t do enough to make sure you have a good experience. Highly recommend!
Food was truly delicious. Excellent choices, all good was full of flavour, good portion sizes and honestly one of the best Mexicans I’ve ever had. We’ve visited here twice on our holiday as it is so good, can’t believe how far down the rankings it is. Service is faultless, choice of drinks very good as well as the food. Had to write a review after seeing how underrated this place is! Would 100% recommend!
The best Mexican food I've ever had, especially the burritos! ? Omg I couldn't stop eating, it was better than in Mexico ? Margaritas were also top ??Try this place!

Our family of four all had fajitas, three chicken and one beef. The chicken fajitas were nice, if a little bit dry and lacking an overly intense flavour. The beef ones were much better, a lot more moist. The price of the restaurant was quite expensive. The food is much more expensive than the majority of places around and the drinks are also very dear. The average price of a meal is closer to €20 whereas most places in the Old Town tend to be around the €12-15 mark.
The best food we had in Portugal! But too expensive. We had shrimp fajitas and shrimp enchilada and it was delicious. The only issue was how expensive the menu is but the taste was so good
Had nachos which had processed burger cheese on top, sent it back along with the micro wings, waiter was nice but food was inedible.
The food was excellent! We ordered tapas to share and we cleared the plate. The meats came straight off the bone and the sauces complemented them nicely. Our main course also lived up to expectation. Would recommend!
We ate here last night and the food was good, not the best but better than some places we have ate. Setting- We sat outside very close to the street which I didn’t like but I suppose someone has to sit there. I did request to move towards the building but there was tables reserved. Our table was very wobbly but staff fixed this. Staff- The man who took our order was friendly. However some of the other staff were abrupt and one member of staff was walking around kicking other staff members when there was plates to be lifted, waiting on a bill etc. Thought this was quite immature as one waiter was taking an order from a big table and this staff member tried to give him a dead leg, unprofessional! Food- I had the chicken tortillas and my partner had the chicken tacos. My tortillas were nice but there was very little sour cream and salasa, probably could have asked for more. My partner really enjoyed the tacos. We also got a beer, coke and a side portion of chips. Price- We thought it was quite expensive at €52. As we have ate in better quality restaurants and much nicer settings we thought it was definitely overpriced.
