Maré at Pine Cliffs

This is a very smart beach side restaurant situated on Praia do Barranco das Belharucas. It is part of the five star Pine Cliffs resort and prices are representative of this fact. So be prepared to pay 7 euros for a draft beer and 6 euros for a cappuccino coffee. Service levels were ok, but it was noticeable that their attention was focused more on hotel guests and waned towards you once they established you didn’t have a room number. But my cold beer came quick enough and this is a fantastic location to sit and sup it. Just be prepared that it is likely to be the most expensive one of the holiday.

Great view, good service, don’t middle paying a premium but the quality of the food is getting worse every visit. I don’t mind paying €20 plus euros for a Caesar salad, but it was pathetic, not really a Caesar salad, the added chicken was mayo sandwich fill. The head chef for the resort should hang his head.. one of the busiest restaurants in a 5 star resort can’t make a decent salad. The restaurant has everything going for it, but the resort management and owners need to wake up and hire a decent head chef.

Lovley setting, clean and tidy, very expensive €6 for a takeaway coffee won’t be going back if prices were displayed I’d walked away

The food was delicious Valter, the waiter was very friendly, just one problem when I arrived, no one served me for 30 minutes.

Beautiful location . Absolutely agree with some of the other reviews about 'if your face fits' Staff unfriendly, they obviously weren't happy that we just wanted drinks and not food. Waited a long time to be seated despite lots of staff walking around not looking busy very overpriced

Was seated quickly but had a long wait for food with people being served quicker that came in later than us. Was as if priority was given to locals and any Americans dining there. The food was nice enough.

Didnt lime their food.. I had chips with cold chicken wrap. It doesn't say on menu whether it's hot or cold and it was dry, tasteless. Then we all ordered the same cocktails and it was basically sparkling water with god knows what. It was

Really lovely place to have lunch on the beach. The service is attentive, the views are amazing and there’s a lot of choice and the food is of good quality. My favourite spot for lunch during my stay at Pine Cliffs Resort.

We had lunch here after having a long stroll on the beach and seating on the edge of the balcony next to the ocean was great. A member of the staff named Valter looked after us the whole time. He is very kind and made sure we had a great experience. We asked him recommendations for our next trips in the Algarve and he genuinely cared and provided us with excellent suggestions that we loved. Food was great and drinks too.

The grilled squid was AMAZING! I could have eaten a full kg versus only 300 grams. I really recommend trying it. The Caesar salad was a bit underwhelming but alright. Their special spritz wasn’t good. I went for beers after the cocktail. The place itself is awesome. Grab a table close to the sea and enjoy an afternoon. Depending on the sun, you may toast and tan a little just sitting, but that’s ok!

This restaurant is located on the beach just under the pine cliff hotel. While we are staying at the PortoBay Falesia hotel that we strongly recommend we went three times to this beach restaurant and tried several types of food. It’s definitely not a cheap place but the food is good. We particularly enjoyed their burgers. The staff is efficient and the setting is welcoming. We recommend that place

For an afternoon stroll we found this delightful seaside restaurant. We had a light lunch consisting of a chicken wrap, chicken salad and a couple of drinks. Not the cheapest meal we have ever had but one of the tastiest and great friendly service.
