Very good restaurant, the octopus was very good but not exceptional, quality accompaniment with fresh produce, the monkfish with its seafood was not as tasty as we thought based on the comments, on the other hand the sauce is excellent. Beautiful presentation of the dishes, quality service. A very good value for money.

My wife and I dined at O Lusitano after it was recommended by their sister restaurant (Double D on Ave. Sa Carneiro - also brilliant!). The restaurant is very classy with beautifully set tables and plush, comfy chairs both inside and out. The service and food were excellent and the wine list extensive (we loved the bottle of Douro Sauvignon Blanc which we ordered). The menu was traditional Portuguese with lots of lovely seafood and meat dishes and we only wish we had found the restaurant earlier in our holiday as we could have happily worked our way through the menu! This was easily the highest quality restaurant we ate in during our stay in Albufeira yet the cost was very, very reasonable. O Lusitano and Double D will be top of our list for when we are next in Albufeira. Highly recommended.
