One of our favourites - we're regulars here for the last twenty-odd years. Small place but the food is always exceptional. Recommend the octopus - this is how it should be cooked!

Thank goodness for this place!! We had a horrible experience at a different restaurant and left to find this place with such a warm atmosphere, and excellent food!!! Filipe was incredible we really appreciated his advice and kind spirit. Would highly recommend!!

Amazing food and soo much better than all those bright lights! Food recipe was the owner’s grandmother from 15 years ago! They even provided us with freshly made piri piri sauce but not your average high street stuff, genuine home cooked style, that blew my taste buds away! They are super amazing and I urge everyone if they want to enjoy good food to go here!

It's impossible to rate this restaurant too highly. 11 out of 10. Superb Algarvian food at extremely reasonable prices. Try the wonderful shellfish and rice.

If you're looking for Portuguese cuisine this is a great choice. A little away from the centre of the old town, we'd done our research and knew we were in for a good meal in this small, unassuming setting. The service was super friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our pepper steak and cataplana with a local green wine.

Had two lunches here and enjoyed both. Food is generally good. Octopus a little burned at ends and potato skins partly burned but removed same and meal was okay. Waiters seem a little distracted at times. Overall for food quality, value and service this is as good a restaurant as we have come across in last three years and we have been to a lot.

A little restaurant in Old Town Albufeira with mostly terrace seating. I admit I was dining on a solo traveller’s budget so my experience might be a bit skewed from the other reviews. I ordered some fish fillets, which were cooked tastily but it was quite a wait. The service was friendly enough but not very welcoming when I sat down. I liked the soft boiled potatoes, but didn’t get to finish them as flies started attacking my dish (open air seating in Portugal, it’s hard to escape them). Only 10 euros for the dish.

Delicious traditional Portuguese food. Lots of options to choose from and reasonably priced.I ordered the Bife à Portuguesa. The portion was huge, the beef was cooked to perfection (medium rare), the sauce was a well seasoned creamy sauce and the potatoes were fresh. My partner ordered the mixed grill and all the meats were seasoned to perfection. Very delicious, came with a side of fresh chips and salad. The service was good, they did forget our olive starter but it was quite busy so I can’t blame them.Highly recommend this restaurant!

Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level, easily accessible.

Food was okay not amazing but not terrible, prices are affordable meal for two adults and two kids ended up costing 30euro. Large chicken with mushroom sauce and chips for 9euro Portuguese steak for 14euro were fine enough. Staff was friendly and Kind. Situated away from all the main noise made our meal pleasantly quiet.

Typical Portuguese food at great prices! Not a fancy tourist trap, but a type of experience that locals would have on a Saturday for dinner.

Went in with no pre conceived notions about the staff, just heard good things about the food. I don’t write reviews unless they are very good or very bad. The staff here was downright rude. Regardless of the language barrier, the young guy did not talk to us, just took our order, and the older lady was even worse. We were given our food and they retreated to do other stuff. Never asked how we were doing or if we wanted anything else. We were waiting for our check and it wasn’t coming so we went up to the register. She didn’t say anything and handed us our bill. She then made a shooshing motion with her hands for us to leave. Long story short, the dessert was fine, very rude staff.
