“When I stay in Albufeira I go to this bar especially when the bartender Dinis is on duty because he is welcoming and an excellent professional. It makes this place a warm, joyful and family atmosphere. Dinis always takes care of all his customers.
Thank you Dinis for your warm and kind welcome. ??“

“Super tasty food, definitely recommended for a cheap meal on the strip. I bought chicken wings with fries for €7.50, and they look exactly like the photos in the other reviews. Soft drinks are €2.50, which is also a good price, and you can also order delicious salads for €3.00. Even if you are already full enough from a full plate of one of the main courses.
Definitely recommended if you want to eat cheaply, quickly and deliciously, without it feeling like fast food.“

“I visited on Wednesday 10th July as a place I had saved on my maps while visiting Portugal, and I was happy I did. such a lovely warm welcoming visit and a nice atmosphere to watch the match without all the madness of the strip. I was a solo traveller and felt so comfortable visiting the Yorkshire tavern by my self (felt like my local at home ) they looked after me and so did the other holiday visitors and helped me get a taxi back to my hotel so I did not walk down the mad strip by my self. the local beer was so nice and I enjoyed the company of everyone there while watching the match, like I said felt like home from home. thank you so much for your lovely welcoming and atmosphere, I did truly have a good night. Thank you ?❤️
didn't rate food as only went for drinks“
“I've visited Paulo's Bar numerous times on 4 of the 5 occasions that I have visited Albufeira (the bar was closed for the winter when I was there last November - and I missed it!). Paulo is the friendliest and funniest guy you will meet while in Albufeira - only Pearsie at Jinky's Bar is as funny and friendly as Paulo is. The Bar is a wee gem of a place, great to just sit out with a few beers and watch the world go by and it is one of those bars where you are never on your own for long as it is always only a matter of time before you are in company with others or with Paulo himself. I can't recommend this wee gem of bar highly enough - if you are in the Old Town, pop in and find out for yourself why I recommend it so highly. As for negative reviews posted earlier, well, not everyone is a pleasant and respectful guest and Paulo, to his credit, does not stand for any nonsense, for the benefit, pleasure and comfort of his guests whom he values greatly, which is why so many visitors return year after year and often several times each year. Because he does not allow Stag and Hen parties, Paulo creates an atmosphere in his bar that is suitable and conducive to solo guests, couples and families, unlike many of the bars around the Old Town. When you are in Albufeira, pop in for a few drinks and see why I rate this wee bar, and Paulo, so highly - I'm certain that you won't regret doing so!“

“We actually came here a few times to play tennis and volleyball which was only €7.50/hr. Great value but we stayed for food one of the times. We loved the vibe we got from the place, very chilled. Food was great and ridiculously good value. Service was slow but we can live with that.“

“As always have to visit an Irish bar when abroad. Drank here on a couple of nights, great atmosphere, drinks were reasonably priced and good quality, unlike some of the bars close by. Service also friendly and helpful, what's not to like.“
“Visited Taberna das Sesmarias on the first morning of our holiday. We were greeted by a lovely server (Doris?) and handed what can only be described as an extensive menu. Inspired by Wagamama’s (or vice versa, perhaps), the food arrives when it’s ready and it did not disappoint. I had a Bifana ?? (pictured). We were promised cheap drinks by previous reviews, and found these claims to be true! Beer for brunch? Anything goes on holiday ?“
“Great little bar which is a short walk away from the main shopping streets, opposite one of the stops for the tourist train and just a short walk from the promenade it is in a perfect location if you are stopping for one drink or a few. At 3€ for a pint of San Miguel it would be rude not to pop in!“
“Popped in to watch the football as the weather was bad. Nice friendly bar bit on the small side. Has 4 screens showing different games. Inflated drink prices to cover the cost of watching the games I suppose. Mostly English customers. It was fine for watching the match but wouldn't rush back.“
“Booked for Sunday lunch, which was fabulous. We have never been before, so we thought we would give it a try. The lunch was lovely, beef and pork, roasties, carrot and swede, cabbage, green beans, carrots, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, followed by homemade choice of desserts all for 14 euros. We were made to feel so welcome. The family made the afternoon, and they were so friendly. We had a fabulous few hours. There was also a singer who was very good. You do need to book for the Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend. Drink prices were very reasonable, too. Enjoy ?“

“Was there at the beginning of the euros this year. Excellent wee pub, Lee the owner and Martha the waitress were awesome. Great tunes, lovely draft cider. Cocktails good price the Pina colada ? was delicious too! Ending up meeting lovely older gentleman from Somerset and we all had an impromptu dance off! We will be back in September ?“
“Really neat dive bar in an old bullfighting stadium. The owner was very friendly and the vibe was chill! Not the kind of place you’d find a rowdy crowd. If you’re looking for a near “hole in the wall” type bar with eclectic decor, check this out! Large draft beer for €2.80.“
“Came here on a Tuesday night. Most other places were closed. I had read before I left UK that the chicken was good. After a long days walk, the nibbles (cheese, bread and olives) were devoured, then we shared the chef salad - nice, then a plate of chicken, ribs and chips were shared (€15). These were piping hot and super delish. Lip smackingly good. All washed down with a bottle of red (Sossego) which was great too.Great value and fully recommend.“
“Selection of tasty vegan offerings and smoothies. Cool surf shop as well. Worth a visit for breakfast/lunch. Nice to take a break from just eating potatoes, chips and salad in the mass of seafood/steak tourist restaurants. Out milk coffees to. (I found most restaurants in the area offered soya).“
“We spent a couple of hours here every night of our 10 day holiday we only had drinks but the experience was a pleasant one. The staff are a credit to this bar especially Eduardo who can't do enough for you. I would highly recommend this place.“
“The restaurant is very ordinary and at the same time invites you to enter. The food as a single dish is quite copious and rich, the rice is just right, as are the fried and baked potatoes, and the meat and chicken are very tasty, we don't leave a single grain. Very good price quality, the waitress who served us Criss was exceptional, thank you for your kindness.“

“Bruno, Emily and the rest of the staff couldn’t do more for you. The place is sooo cheap. €3 for a pint of local beer. It doesn’t matter what football match you want to watch. If you ask, they’ll probably be able to get it on for you. I asked for the Celtic game, which is difficult for bars in the UK to display, never mind Portugal. Honestly, if you’re making a trip to Albufeira. Check this place out!!!“
“(Translated by Google) Coffee as we like to see them in Portugal. Authenticity and prices are in line with what we expect. Ricard served well dosed and cold beer to perfection.(Original)Café comme on aime les voir au portugal. Authenticité et les prix sont conforme à se que l on attends. “This is a lovely bar run by a French couple that have been there for 20 years and are looking to retire so if you fancy running a bar in the the sun then you couldn't Go wrong with this place, it's just a couple of minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the old town, it's very well priced and have all the sports on i like to go and watch formula one .“
“Great bar, love the location. The staff so friendly and a must is its so cool the coolest place to have lunch, play pool or just people watch, the chicken burgers and lovely and all food is fresh, not a massive selection just kinda pub grub snacks but a great we spot“
“Found this gem on our 1st night in Albufeira. Staff were great. Nat, the bar person was excellent. Mark the joint owner, a great person. They recognised us when we returned and remembered our drinks we had. All the staff joked and had a laugh with everybody. Dj was excellent. Wide range of music for everybody. Must go for a great night or start to your night“

“We were a large party of 19 and some people complained of their food being cold, but beyond that the food was great.
The Sexy Steak looked particularly good value.

“We stopped into this bar on a cold wet afternoon. We had cheese and ham toasties. They had a lot of filling. They don't serve other food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ended up having 3 drinks each. Large beers for the husband and 3 glasses of mateus for myself. The final bill was less than 20 euros.“
