We came here on Christmas Day after seeing some good reviews. We ordered the cataplana with monkfish. It was not good. The sauce was thin and watery, it wasn’t seasoned very well but the worst of it was the star attraction that caught my eye to order it, the monkfish. It was gelatinous lumps of pulp defined only by its bone and I’m pretty sure the membrane hadn’t been removed which didn’t help matters. I’ve given this a two star as I feel that we ordered the wrong food here as the grilled and kebab fish dishes we saw coming out looked much better. But unfortunately ours wasn’t.

Visited O David at lunch time and had a great seat with a view of the cobbled walkway outside and a view of the Charcoal Barbecue Grill which has a clear , transparent viewing screen in front so you can watch whilst your lunch is being cooked. The Chicken Piri Piri was cooked absolutely perfectly and was super tasty.I had mine with Chips and Salad which again was lovely...I ordered a Glass of Red wine which was gorgeous...At lunchtime O David does a lunch deal of €6.90...Amazing value. I would definitely recommend to visit this Typically Portuguese Restaurant.

Had a lovely couple of evening meals here, extremely friendly staff and good value. Would definitely recommend, we sat inside as it was cool outside and was nice to watch the food being bbq’d.

Was looking for a toasties and stumbled across this place. Lunch time menu 12.00 - 15 00. €6.90 Choice of Chicken Piri Piri, Sardines, Pork Chops, Mackerel, Chicken Steak and Calameres. Went for the Chicken Piri Piri. Was not expecting much and finished up with plenty of Chicken along large amount of salad and Chips. Good quality and excellent service.

I had the sardines but I wouldn't get that dish if I went again. Spaghetti carbonara wasn't very tasty. The meat looked fine. Quick service and quite a lot of space.

A week holiday staying in Albuferia and we’ve eaten here at least 4 times. Every meal has been delicious and arrived on two plates (so much food!). The staff are all really friendly and welcoming, David the owner has helped to make our experience all the better. We can recommend the tuna Algarve style, grilled salmon and meat kebabs. For approximately €20 each you can have wine, olives and bread and a huge tasty meal, very god value for money

This was the first restaurant we ate at after arriving for our week long stay. We found the staff very friendly, the food simple yet delicious and the portions were generous. We loved it so much we came back several more times during our stay. David and his team were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend ?

Went to Albufeira for our last night from Vilamoura, decided to go in for a bite to eat but had drinks instead as we just didn't like the look of the place especially after being to the toilet. Place could do with a good deep clean. One of the waiters was serving people with his coat on!!! Trip Advisor Award board outside from 2019 is very deceptive. We paid and left and went elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the TA board outside.

The food was so fresh and delicious… I had monkish and shrimp kebab, Rob had mixed kebab. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more… the waiter was funny and attentive too. We tried Green Wine and loved it, slightly sparkling and very easy drinking. Would definitely recommend ?

Looks and smells great. Glad to see 4* reviews but what a disappointment! When we arrived the chef was cooking ribs on the charcoal grill and we noticed someone eating. We asked if we could order but were told no as this was for chefs only and not available to order! We took a chance and ordered from the main menu.. wrong decision Calamari wasn’t fresh but frozen and fried. Sardines not scaled or gutted. Chicken nuggets (kids) didn’t know what they were ::. We were all trying to work out whether fish or chicken. Frango piri dry and tasteless. All above was ordered from the lunch menu for €6.90 but don’t bother. Horrible food and experience…

Very underrated. The lunch here for 6.90 is unbelievable value. Ate here at night also and was pretty good.

5 out of 5 This little restaurant is a short distance from the main square. The food is outstanding for example where else can you go, have a T bone steak that covers the whole of the plate ( and we are not talking British supermarkets sizes) that you need a second plate for chips and salad. The choice of food covers all tastes and palates The staff are friendly helpful and enjoy a joke with their patrons The prices are very very reasonable and certainly a lot cheaper than the resultant opposite. Would thoroughly recommend this place so much so we visited it 4 times during our stay. We did go to other restaurants but didn’t match this one
