Personally, I didn't really like the food, it didn't have much flavor, I had to eat the tropeiro beans, I also ordered a juice that came with no taste at all, the atmosphere has a serious problem with bombs flying over you, causing a certain discomfort

I think I had bad luck ordering a cheeseburger! A lot of food poisoning followed. I'm having trouble getting over it. The Burger is served cold with 2 slices of tomato and salad. The ground meat was just warm and seemed to have been cooked in advance

We decided to eat lunch before catching the bus back to Lisbon. When we’d arrived in Albufeira we’d noticed this small restaurant with a patio beside the bus drop off and pick up point and kept it in mind for later. Sal & Mel is hardly what would call a fine dining place. Its patio though by the bus pick up point was perfect for a light lunch before a long bus ride. As a bonus it had free WIFI which came in handy later pulling up our bus tickets on my phone. My wife ordered calamari and I decided for once to eat healthy and just went with the salad. I didn’t think it would be enough though so I added a plate of French fries to share. I was wrong the salad was enormous, probably enough for both of us. It was very fresh as well. We both enjoyed the large glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice. I enjoyed mine so much I ordered a second. The patio was fairly crowded with what looked like a mix of locals and other tourists. However, the service was fast and friendly. Overall it was a nice way to end our brief visit to Albufeira.
