This was our last day on the island and after our 1030 guided tour of the fabulous Gruta do Carvao volcanic caves we were desperate for a coffee. Just down the road we found this cave and went in to a warm welcome where the staff spoke English. Whilst we only ordered coffee , which was very good, the food looked very appealing and a young local family were tucking into their pizza which looked good. There are tables outside and inside, and beyond the serving area was a posher dining area. The toilets were spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!!
