This is a hidden gem. The ambience is a mix between anime and punk and you have a lot of flyers and infographics about animal rights. The owner is super kind and its obvious everything is created with love. The selection is huge and the portion sizes are big as well, also everything I curated in a very balanced way regarding the nutrional value as well as the combination of flavours. I felt so grateful for that meal, as it all worked so well together and was arranged so nicely. If you are at Albufeira, definetely go there! The price might be a bit higher than elsewhere, but its money well spent as its worth it.
So glad we made it to Veggie Momi! A welcoming place with a great menu run by grassroots activists. Thank you and I hope we have a chance to visit again.
Visited Albufeira January 2025 and found this cute place by accident when we lived just a short walk from it. I ate burritos and it was a generous portion and my partner ate a burger. The son was very helpful in giving tips on other vegan places to visit. Go visit and support them!
What an adorable little spot in Albufeira. This place feels so cozy and homey. I love how both the mother and son are animal rights activists and how dedicated they are to the animal rights movement. The food is to die for! I had the Sheppard pie and my partner, the tofu stew. We were blown away by how delicious everything was! Then let's talk about the desserts...... WOW 😲😲 we couldn't believe how delicious the cakes were! Probably the best ones we've eaten yet (and I've been vegan for over 25 years!). Highly recommended! ❤️
Fantastic chefs with an lot of passion. A lot of local specialties made vegan so you can really experience Portugese food. Even my partner who eats meat LOVED this place. I had trouble choosing one dish. Certainly would go back there.
A lovely little family run eatery where nothing was too much trouble. The conversation and welcome was as good as the food!
Omelette was absolutely amazing. You can tell they make a special effort for every meal!
It's a nice vegan spot where activism is welcome. They offer traditional Portuguese food in vegan and it tastes great! Love it here and we will be back!
Nice people but unfortunately terrible menu. We waited over an hour for lunch, what we received were dishes assembled with packaged raw materials. Hummus, chips, pineapple, sausages, salad and carrots, were all packaged food. If I had gone shopping I would have done it sooner.
Friendly and attentive staff and small team Happily split a large meal for our two young children making excellent value Overall super value meals all freshly cooked and easily customisable We have been several times this trip and recommend taking cake away with you for laters! Sadly non of us liked the food. The staff was kind and attentive though
The staff itself were nice and present. Also very nice with everything on the menu being vegan and having a diversity with traditional portugese food/wraps/burgers etc. The only cons were that it was very expensive. Especially if you compare it to any other place in Portugal. Maybe it’s because most people that come here/there are tourists. Also I think the prices have gone up a bit because on Google reviews they were cheaper a few months back. I ordered a burger which was 16€. And for me it felt like it wasn’t value for the money. Even though there were a lot of stuff in the burger; vegan salciccia, tofu, soy, sauce and more (which was very nice) the bread was normal (not homemade I think) and the fries were sweet potato chips (which probably wasn’t homemade as well) and they had ketchup on (not autism friendly). I probably could’ve said something about the chips and I’m sure they would’ve gotten me without ketchup on. However I think I expected more out of the price. Maybe it’s another thing (for the price) if the bread and the chips actually are homemade (and if so, I apologize). The place in itself was small and cozy yet right by the street. This was a shame because cars/bus drove past (if you’re sitting outside) this is however not their fault. I am grateful though that the vegan place exists and has variety and kindness, I was/am just really sad about the prices. Because I really would have loved to try more things on the menu if only it wasn’t that expensive. NOTE: only cash.
Really good gem! Great food and nice people.
Small place. Food looks good. No toilet.
Loved our time here. Waiter was so friendly and stopped to chat with us. Food was incredible and the portions were huge! Wish we could’ve visited more!
