Churrasco d'Avó is a small, welcoming restaurant located behind Estrella, offering perfect roast chicken. The off-the-beaten-path spot is worth the detour, especially after a walk in the mountains. The Piri-piri chicken is a standout dish, succulent, tasty, and cooked to perfection. The staff is very kind, and the whole experience has a nice energy. The take-out only restaurant can be a bit tricky to find but is located in a lemon and orange tree garden. Parking is plentiful, and although the owner doesn't speak English, the service is efficient. It's a must-visit for chicken lovers in Portugal.
