Although the food is great and after a misunderstanding with the reservation, resolved in a friendly manner by the waiter, the experience has been very, very unpleasant. Once we were seated at the table at the direction of the waiter, a waitress with long dark hair passed by our table shouting at the top of her voice, so that everyone would look at us, saying that the table was not ours and that we did not have any reservation. All this without stopping to even talk and without any desire to resolve anything. There were children at the table. The treatment was tremendous. He has never apologized. We will never return.

While we were waiting for our table to be turned, a waitress left us a menu and informed us of 3 dishes that could no longer be ordered. Afterwards, he came back to check what dishes we wanted and one of them was a cod dish (they had just recommended the cod here, and it was my must-have). Already in an altered way he tells me: "there is no baclao either, ask for something else." I politely told him that we were leaving since we were just coming to try the cod. At that moment, in a very rude and impolite manner, he literally kicked us out of the restaurant, shouting loudly at the rest of the customers: "She wants cod and there is no cod, so let the next ones leave and come in" while making gestures. with his hands to get us out of the entrance. I was speechless at how he literally kicked us out as if we were animals. I took out my wallet to pay for the drinks we had consumed while waiting and he was so out of it that he kept making hand signs and screaming for us to get out of there. I have never been treated like this in a restaurant in my life. The food may already be excellent, without a doubt I will never return or recommend it.

Amazing restaurant, yes the staff don't speak other languages but they really did try to give us a wonderful evening. I emailed them in advance to arrange the reservation using Google translate, not a problem. Arrived on time and was seated promptly. We ordered a selection of starters, octopus, hare, cheese, fried sausage and marinaded carrot followed by the prawn and cuttlefish rice for main. Everything was delicious. The lady serving us I assume was the owner brought us a pine nut covered tart and poured Moscatel over the top along with a measure each for our coffee. Sublime!!!! Start to finish perfect. A bottle of delightful Herdade dos Grous to wash it all down and the bill came in at 74 Euros! Yes outside Comporta but definitely worth an email to reserve a table. Thank you so much for a lovely memory :)
