Cafeterias in Alcoentre, PT

“I was in Lisbon for 24 hours recently for work and made a point of visiting this restaurant for lunch on the strength of the positive TA reviews I'd read beforehand. It's just the sort of authentic, unpretentious place I love to find when travelling. I can't sum it up any better than the previous reviewer: 'a small, simple restaurant serving authentic food for local diners'. But I would like to add that the lady serving was a marvel. She was patient with my beginner's Portuguese, came outside to let me know when our table was ready (we had to wait about half an hour), and managed the dining room, which was full to capacity, with impressive efficiency. Also portions were very generous, and excellent value for money. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a low-key, authentic lunch in the centre of Lisbon.“
