For those who seek and appreciate traditional Portuguese cuisine, genuine, sincere and honest, quality and freshness of its ingredients, personal character in its dedicated and affectionate service, in a unique place, which dispenses with artificalism and commercial pantonomies, tricks and perverse mistakes , here is a unique restaurant, for those who are passing through, or not,  want to remember  and rediscover old  refined palates  and flavors,  this is  the place, that you look for and find,    and that "off line"  and outside the box  provides us with "those "absolute moments and instants."!
Pleased, for the beautiful and honorable treatment, I am from now on a correspondent, "on line", casual open my exception, and also for conviction and coherence, offline, I go around putting my "mouth on the dedicated trombone" whispering to the winds, to the next and friends and so on, because it was like this, that in the adventure of an unscheduled trip, in the discovery, between shores and blurred borders, I was blown away!

Great gastronomic experience.
I recommend the Brás-style cod and the Alentejo-style pork... Very well prepared ???

It is well worth visiting this authentic and picturesque place on the banks of the river and enjoying the exquisite food prepared at the moment sitting on its terrace. A menu of exquisite large and traditional dishes. Let yourself be advised by Hugo, who is very attentive and helpful, so that you feel at home. If you are in the area, I recommend coming to see this special place.

Ascending the Guadiana aboard a sailboat we arrived at Pomarao and there we found this unique, genuine and magical place.
Hugo, its owner, an excellent host and cook who offered us 4 dishes, we ordered them all, none of them disappointed.

When we went exploring with our motorhome, we discovered the Pomarão caravan park. In the middle of nowhere with a beautiful view over the Guadiana, we discovered Café do Cais. We were treated very well there and ate very well in a family atmosphere completely at home ? We ordered several dishes, all of them great, but the Bacalhau á Brás was divine ?

Very traditional and typical place. The place itself is very simple but that is precisely the charm with views of the small port and river. The waiters are friendly and very kind. Very delicious food and great price quality. It is not the first time we go and we will repeat for sure

Very very very very delicious and totally homemade food. They offered us baked beef (amazingly delicious) and octopus rice with a lot of flavor and for dessert homemade coconut cake... repeating is a sure thing.
