The best thing about the site is the location and the views. Ok food at best, unfunny, but "smuggler prawns" is the least meaningful dish I've ever seen. To eat better in the square.

An Unforgettable Gastronomic Experience at Contrabandista!
I recently visited the O Contrabandista restaurant in Alcoutim and was absolutely delighted with the experience.
The **food** was, without a doubt, the highlight of the visit. Each dish was a delight, presenting authentic and well-balanced flavors. The quality of the ingredients was evident and the presentation of the dishes was mouth-watering.
The **service** was also impeccable. The team were attentive and professional, ensuring we felt welcome.
The **decor** of the restaurant is excellent, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Finally, I can't help but mention the stunning **view** that the restaurant offers.
I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!

It was a lunch with friends at Restaurante o Contrabandista in Alcoutim on 06/23/2024. At the end of lunch we decided to ask for an invoice with a taxpayer number, and we were presented with an invoice for the amount of 553.60 euros. We were 12 adults and 15 main dishes were ordered, we considered that the cost of lunch was actually a little higher than normal prices, but soon, the invoice was requested to really understand the value of what we had consumed. We found that each of us would pay 50 euros if only 11 adults paid, but we ended up paying for 12 adults without realizing it, and the lady who was doing the math didn't even mention anything, that we had already paid the entire bill. In other words, right at the entrance we paid another 50 euros above the value of the invoice presented, and nothing was said to us by the employee/manager Lina who served us. When I receive the invoice, I begin to see that 5 more main dishes than those we had eaten were billed, so I went back and spoke to the waitress/manager Lina. I explained what was incorrect, just wanting to rectify what was wrong. I mentioned that I wanted the old invoice so I could confirm the changes to the new invoice and the employee Lina immediately tore up the invoice in front of me, not wanting to provide it to me. I replied once again that I had the right to see the first invoice to check the changes made, which I was denied. Even the employee, Laura, was extremely rude and exuberantly haughty towards me, when I was just asking for something wrong to be rectified. It should be noted that I didn't notice that we had also already paid 50 euros for each person and where we paid for 12 people, giving us 600 euros. At my insistence, the extra dishes were removed and I was refunded 92.50 euros. Still being left with 50 euros more, from a person who had paid extra at the beginning. It should also be noted that the maid Laura insisted on being rude to me, saying "let's sort things out outside!", with the apparent intention of wanting to hit me in some way. When I leave the restaurant, the waitress Laura comes after me, leaves the restaurant, slams the door and says "now let's sort things out outside!". When I was never rude to any of the ladies, and I even said that I realized that there could be mistakes, but that they didn't want to admit their mistakes, it would be more serious. It was truly the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life in terms of restoration. Because no one has ever wanted to deceive me so blatantly. Not to mention the haughtiness they ended up showing towards me. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone! Pay close attention to invoices and the values of what they ask for. Confirm everything. Thanks.
