I have been going a few times to this place and usually like it. Today I went and saw they charged me a bottle of water I didn't order. I told the waitress. She did not apologise and refused to take it off the bill, insisting we have to pay. A bit of a shame...

Three friends plan lunch in Cascais, two of us fans of Asian food. We ordered 2 pork ramen and 1 hamburger. We didn't like the ramen, so we sent the dishes back to the kitchen. The broth was impregnated with meat fat. In fact there was no meat, just bacon. As an alternative, we ordered a plate of chicken rice, to share between the two of us. This one fell far short of my expectations. In the end we paid for the 3 dishes. The ramen was mediocre, the Nasi Goreng was too fried and the hamburger was acceptable. We enjoyed the red fruit sangria, it was very good. The waiters: inattentive, forgetful and bordering on apathy. Negative rating and the conviction that I will not return. This was my second trip to Maide. From the first, only the memories of the table companions remained.

We arrived 40 minutes before closing, so they said we had to order for take away which is fair enough. Anyway, we didn't order much but they forgot my chips which was unfortunate as I had to pay extra for them.
I went back and they discussed it amongst themselves for a while and then gave me a refund which took a good few minutes. No apology.
The food itself was not nice. None of us enjoyed ourselves. The burger was pink, the poke bowl was sloppy and wet. The bao bun was nice but the meat was 50% fat.
My aunty had been here in the past as she lives in the area but she agrees that it's gone downhill overall.
I'd not recommend this restaurant to others.

I have been here a a couple of times and my last experience was not the best. We were told that they do not do reservations and when we arrived there were reserved tables. We waited more than 20 minutes prior to any reservations arriving and they did not seat us at the empty table. The waitress removed the plates and silverware but did not wipe the table. As we kept waiting, their were very concerned about sitting the people that just arrived. I asked her to clean the table and she rudely reply “we need to sit the people with reservations first “ I guess we are not as important as them and we don’t have the right to reserve table at this restaurant. We left immediately. Very bad customer service.
The food is well prepared but does not justify the price.

The best juice I’ve ever had, and I’m really into and picky about juice. The avocado toast was amazing, increíble feta cheese and super fresh tomatoes. Egg perfectly poached as you can see from the video! Awesome random find!

What an absolutely delightful café restaurant in Cascais. The food is excellent and the service friendly and warm and fantastic! What else can we ask for. Highly recommended! (They speak English and the menu is also in English. The clientele are mostly locals)
