Luckily we walked past and decided to try. Local, unpretentious Portuguese food is incredibly tasty and reasonably priced and restaurant always gets filled up with locals. This is our favourite place while in Alges. Our favourites dishes are pork ribs, cod cakes (best I’ve had in Lisbon) tongue, fried anchovies, cod and potatoes, baked cod, their small jugs of wine were just perfect with our meals. We have been there 5 times in 1.5 months while in Alges. Service is efficient and the chefs are consistent. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place! You can choose between grilled fish or meat and enjoy a variety of Portuguese dishes. The friendly owner is always attentive to the guests. Traditional wine in pitchers and beer in glasses. There's also an opportunity to watch football. I highly recommend this place!
