“I already knew the "old" Sé da Guarda with its Fried Fish specialties, which I think no longer have the same variety. However, this time we went for the snacks and came away very pleased! Well-seasoned and tasty snails, perfectly roasted chorizo and woodpecker with tender, juicy meat accompanied by good fries.
The space becomes a bit noisy perhaps because of the protection of the tent, but in these hot months perhaps one would consider opening up the outside space more.
In the end the bill was comfortable for what we ate and drank. I advise.“

“Casinha is one of the best Portuguese food restaurants ever, the problem is choosing which day I like to eat there the most, because all the dishes are good and every day is always a good day to go eat at Casinha and on top of that To help, the sweets are equally wonderful and all homemade! Not to mention the always pleasant, familiar and tireless service, there is no customer who doesn't feel at home and doesn't want to come back! If there were more stars, I would give 20 stars! Congratulations on the excellent service!“

“Delicious egg tart and so-so expresso, both reasonably priced. The service is inconsistent; some days it's excellent, while on others, it's just okay. Considering the price and the quality of the egg tart, I can foresee making frequent visits in the future.“

“A great restaurant, well-prepared food, good atmosphere, five-star service, but... there is one thing, I advise, in addition to drinks, if you order water, ask for it from the tap, because you have to pay almost 3 euros for a bottle of water, 7 which is no more than the same as the one we buy in a commercial store for less than a euro the 6 liter bottle is a little too much
Otherwise it is a good restaurant, value for money
Parking: Free weekend“

“Being born in Luanda Angola, when I found out about the restaurant, it was a must for me to try but I recommend to anyone looking for authentic Portuguese cuisine at very reasonable prices. Our bill was $50 euros for three adults including drinks (full botyle of wine), dessert and coffee and the portions won't disappoint. Located in Alges area of Lisboa, the restaurant was an easy stroll from our rented condo. It had good hours even for us North Americans who like to eat a little earlier and only one step to enter making it easily accessible. When you see locals coming in for takeout as well coming in and eating with family and friends, you know it's going to be good. Service was excellent, great selection of food from meat to seafood on the menu and even though they only had the menu in Portuguese, our server was excellent translating, answering any of our questions and explaining all dishes. Like many other family run restaurants in Lisboa, there are specific dishes only available on certain days with daily specials also on the menu. As you can understand, good, homemade traditional cooking and dishes need to be prepped in advance unless you can wait 2 or 3 hrs for your dinner for them to make it fresh at that time. The only thing that disappointed us was that we only at at the restaurant once during our stay in Alges and I missed the chicken Mumba day which is Thursdays. Loved the restaurant and ambience and can't wait to eat here again when I return to Lisboa even if I stay in another area of the city.
Dietary restrictions: Many options.
Kid-friendliness: Many families present when I ate at restaurant“

“Conheço o restaurante, o dono e os funcionários há muitos anos. Viram crescer os meus filhos. Foram e continuam a ser uma grande ajuda para a comunidade. Incansáveis a levar as refeições a quem não pode ir ao restaurante. Na pandemia foram muitos dias o nosso contacto exterior. Simpatia e boa comida tradicional são o cartão de boas vindas. De tal forma que aqui em casa dizemos que é o restaurante do sr. Simpático :).“

“It is very pleasant to be on the terrace.
Today I opted for the juice of the day (strawberry, orange) which was great. And the chocolate cake is divine.
It was a calm and relaxing end of the afternoon, it was a shame that I went at 7pm and closed at 8pm, even though I could have stayed on the bench in the garden.
Kid-friendliness: It has a beautiful lawn for playing, reading, relaxing and for children to roam freely, play, run, socialize.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is accessible from the Park entrance and the commercial space itself.“

“Excellent place for a quick meal, cost effective, simple and tasty food. Usually the place is full (few tables, indoor and outdoor areas), there is a variety of dishes (they are usually well served), drinks, snacks (snails, potatoes, etc.), fair prices and friendly staff. Super simple place (outdoor area with awning to protect from the sun and along with the restaurants next door) delicious food, they don't accept cards for payment, only cash, literally is next to the Algés Market, to park there are the nearby streets (which are in the center of Algés) and with parking meter, except Saturday after 1pm if I'm not mistaken, and WC.“

“(Translated by Google) Good Portuguese food restaurant. Good steaks and good seafood. Wonderful chocolate mousse and oreo mousse. Prices ok.Employees are friendly. The environment is not so perfect because sometimes they leave the entrance door open and it gets cold, in addition to that they have a damp wall that they should fix as soon as possible.Otherwise I like it and recommend it.(Original)Bom restaurante de comida portuguesa. “The Floresta de Algés Restaurant is simply wonderful! From the welcoming atmosphere to the extremely friendly staff, the experience is always memorable. The food is excellent, with delicious dishes that never disappoint. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an incredible meal and excellent service. Without a doubt, it deserves five stars!“
“We arrived late in Lisbon and stumbled into this great restaurant in central Lisbon. The restaurant is located next to the Santa Justa Hotel in central Lisbon. We order a portion of grill wild turbot which was delicious and enough for two of us. The meal was so nice, we returned every day to this restaurant during our stay to try other fish dishes. We have tried grilled whole wild seabass and whole wild seabeam. Those were also gorgeous. The restaurant is own by the same family since 1967. We were served by Paolo who spoke perfect English and very friendly. His father owns the restaurant and his mother is the head chef in the kitchen. They place bread on every table but you can ask for it to be removed if you don’t want it and will not be charged. They add 10% service charge to the bill and this common in central Lisbon. The price for the food in this restaurant is very reasonable. We noticed a lot of local people eat in this restaurant not just tourists. I highly recommend the grilled wild fish dishes, they are beautifully cooked and fresh. The restaurant also serves suckling pig from Mealhada every Friday, which is also very delicious. The restaurant close on Saturday but open every day until 10:00pm. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we next visit Lisbon.“

“Restaurant at UDR de Algés where we went to watch my grandson train. The food was excellent, I know that on Sunday there is a top Brazilian feijoada. Furthermore, the menu is varied, very well prepared and the cook came to the table to find out if we liked it. Very good. I advise.“

“Nice local snack place. There’re no competitors around so choice is limited.
I really like their cheesecakes. It’s like homemade but really tasty.
What I didn’t really like is their mozzarella wrap. It’s got a boiled egg in it. I’m most certain that a scramble egg would work best in this wrap. Other than that this wrap is good.“

“We visited this restaurant and after a small setback, the staff were highly efficient and interested and everything was resolved. We ordered a prawn and cod stew on a bed of cornbread. Delicious and surprising for its softness and flavor. Açorda is simply one of my favorite dishes and this one did not disappoint. To finish, the puff pastry dessert with egg custard filling was also very tasty.Clean and very pleasant environment. We wanted to come back and we certainly will.“
