Menus are presented with different prices with everything included and then they serve a jug with 1/2 wine and 1/2 soda with two slices of fruit which they call sangria and they charge in addition to the menu (with drinks included) plus €12 for each jug of something at last. Space to avoid. Too bad exactly expensive for the service presented

Satisfactory meal for 4. Fish soup was more like pasta soup although onion soup excellent. Bread & home made tuna paste tasty. Chicken stroganoff satisfactory not great. Tuna steak again same standard. Chicken piri piri satisfactory. Portuguese steak- steak excellent & gravy tasty but needs more potatoes. €113 for 4 - satisfactory but there are higher standard restaurant & much better elsewhere.

So, we have just been to the restaurant on our last night in Portugal. We walked past the restaurant a few nights ago and there were people queuing outside to get a table. After looking for a more traditional restaurant to eat we decided to come back and luckily enough we claimed the last table for 4. The gentleman on the door (sorry didn't get his name but assume he is the owner) was really friendly and welcoming, told us he had a kids menu that wasn't on display (my son is 5) and then sat us down, brought menus and asked us if we wanted any drinks. Beers and juices came quickly, including freshly squeezed orange juice, and we ordered food..kids pizza, chicken nuggets and pork fillet and peri peri chicken for the adults..plus extra drinks. Food was a little slow however this was due to the place being full and food being freshly prepped and when it arrived we knew we had made a good choice. Pork was lovely and tender served with sliced fried potatoes and salad, chicken was spicy ( with added peri peri oil) served with fries and salad... delicious. Kids really enjoyed their meals too..nothing left for dad to pick at! 4 meals, 4 beers and 4 juices, plus a bottle of the peri peri oil, for about 55euros. Possibly the best meal we have had all week..and we have had a few good ones to choose from! Will definitely pay another visit next time we come back to Portugal! Thanks from Spiderman for the tiny beer!
