An absolute pleasure of a time! My wife and I were able to have a dinner in a separate room from a large tour group, which means we had a private dinner experience. We were delighted with this and the tour guide would come in and explain each wine and dinner dish. She would explain the story behind the Portuguese history of this wine and dish. A cheese & bread starter was followed by seafood empadas, carrot soup and a meat stew, then a mix of Portuguese desserts, including an egg custard, poached pear and chocolate cake.
There was a short history of the vineyard and a little bit of time to walk around the beautiful gardens with excellent fountains and views over the vineyards.
