It was a nice night and dinner at Cabrita. We were 3 and we were welcomed well by the waiter outside, from the beginning to the end he was with a smile (as everyone inside) and we stayed well during the dinner. We ate peixe-espada, sardinhas (nicest between the three) and a "dourada". All three meals were served with salad and cooked potatoes. In the end, we paid 51 euros to eat good fish and we stayed happy. Attached the photo of "dourada".
Only made a pitstop so did not get to try much. Highly recommended as an alternative to Porto Final and right around the corner. The garlic prawns were the best we had in Portugal and a very generous portion. Sangria can use some work so I recommend having a beer if you’re drinking.
Good traditional dishes, similar to the neighbouring restaurants. You really cannot go wrong with seafood here on Rua Cândido dos Reis. Service was fast and friendly, and the salada de polvo freshly made by the owner was fantastic. My only complain was that the gambas de guilho sauce was too salty, otherwise everything was good.
