We ate sea bream with roasted potatoes and octopus pataniscas, accompanied by a green wine from Ponte de Lima (land of the owners)... Everything was very good! I recommend! Note: cozy, no-frills, impeccable place for those who like to eat well and feel at home

Great find. All home cooked, just where the locals go for lunch. Most of them waited outside to be seated for free table, as full. Dish of the day, 8 euros including swordfish , tuna or beef stew with all trimmings. The waitresses were so pleasant and accommodating. I always say, eat where the locals eat, you can never go wrong. Wish I was staying a bit longer, as I would have gone back there again ??

Very good food. The workmanship is good, the service is efficient. For those who like homemade food, this is a place to visit.

(Translated by Google) A very good restaurant in the city of Almada, where luxury is not the rule, but the quality of the service and the many dishes on the menu. Efficiency and friendliness of staff.

We ran into this place on our way through Old Town and the lady there went out of her way to seat us, eventually getting us an outdoor table. The food is so good and incredibly inexpensive. We had the sopa with the boca de caco (forgive spelling) for 3 eu. Amazing. And the fish dish with banana was also. 2 drinks were 5 eu. The red wine was not the swill you would expect if you order house red in the US. Very good. This place had a great local vibe. We went twice and hope to go one more time. Love the people there.

We have been to this restaurant before, on previous visits and really like it. They open up early for people to drop in and have breakfast on the way to work and they are so busy at lunchtimes that the queue goes down the street. It is traditionally Portuguese and not swanky at all! The menu is limited and your best option would be the "Prato do Dia", which is usually a traditional Portuguese dish. The day we visited we had Feijoada and it was delicious. We also had a glass of house wine each and the bill came to €17.00! The atmosphere is like a café and sounds a bit chaotic, but is, in fact extremely well organised by a fabulous lady, who also speaks English. She is a real character and loves all the patrons, treating you like you're an old friend. Due to the busyness of the place, it isn't a place where you would linger - you eat, drink, and go, so that the eprson waiting for a table can eat as well. We really do like this restaurant very much adn go there when we are "in town"!

On holiday in Lisbon we visited Lacruze for a evening meal. We were seated Infront of the front door which was left open for their delivery service, we asked for it to be close which they did. We ordered our meal, starter and main and explained to the waiter that we are English and that we didn't want our main course until we've had a little rest after eating our starter, " however we are holiday and no rush eh" half way through our starter up comes the waiter with our main course, we asked them to keep it warm as we were still eating , as you can imagine we were very annoyed by this, just as we were having our last mouthful of starter up came the main again, I promptly said no, take it away, after 5 min and still not ready to eat our main course, my husband said our food must be getting cold so we had better get it served. As you can imagine the food wasn't as hot as it should of been which spoiled the evening, if this had been served at the correct time it would of been a very nice meal. On payment we were told that payment hadn't gone through so we re-did the transaction, on the credit card bill we found two transactions the same from this restaurant and now need to contact our credit card company.

What a great lunch we had. Really close to the centre and exceptionally good value. Lunch was tasty local fish, caught fresh today and really good value. Service was friendly and efficient, with good English spoken. It’s obviously a place popular with locals as they comprised the majority of tables. An excellent place to try the local specialities and not be ripped off by the tourist cafes round the corner! Would highly recommend.
