Definitely one of the best restaurants for fish and seafood in Algarve! Purely authentic and very nice staff. Worth every penny
Exquisite drum rice. In general, everything is very good, with good quality and price. I will only say how something negative that you review the account... They tried to put a ration of 24 euros more in the account that we had not consumed. We were alone in the restaurant and they "wrong" when counting what we had consumed twice.
Pleasant setting frequented by regulars, pleasant welcome, you will have a visit from Fernando at your table. Excellent choice of meat and fish. Grilled sea bream with an assortment of vegetables was delicious.
All very good and abundant. Perhaps they put too much oil sauce on the grelhado cod (see photo), to make a problem. All top quality.
Very good food. Try the "Bacalhau à Casa", is amazing! The owner himself is the cook and often comes to ask if you are satisfied. Portion is very generous and tempts you to take some rest home "for the dog" in you.
We ate great, the food was very good, a local recommended!
We ordered Conquilhas (aka Cadelinhas), minutes later the waiter advised that they didn't have any, so we ordered Clams. They were good but the sauce for my taste could be more intense. The sirloin steak, despite being tall, was just right, juicy and tender, very good.I just thought the prices were a bit high on the fish, which we ended up not eating for that reason. E.g., Grouper at 60€/Kg.
Vulgar.
What an amazing spot. Family owned and run by Chef Fernando. Possibly the freshest fish within kilometres. Just walk in and ask Chef Fernando to propose what he thinks will be best today. We had a half grouper on the grill with cilantro, garlic and olive oil - spectacular. Wines are from the region and super well priced. For desert try the tarta de natas with a side of beirao liqueur. And of course a strong coffee. Cheers!
Waited for almost 1 hour for food after waiting half an hour to be seated in an empty restaurant. All the food came at different times and it was average at best. Dishes were missing. A terrible experience.
Restaurantji Recommends
Food was simple terrible and over precised, much better restaurant in the area. My Cod was swimming in oil, my wife and daughter had very small steaks served with very oily fried potatoes. Will defiantly never return.
Good food ?
We had to wait ages. The food is ok, but compared to the price it's totally disappointing. 22€ for lulinhas!! You can have much better quality for half the price in other places. The appetizers are not original, no local cheese and the bread is not very fresh. In the end they did a lot of mistakes in the bill and didn't even apologize.
We had beef and lamp chops. The meat was very good. It comes with a side dish with rice, french fries and canned peas and carrot. The side dish was terrible. I cannot understand how a restaurant which is a little pricey would serve this kind og sidedish. The service was ok without being enthusiastic. I do not think we will eat the again
Delicious food, both sea and meat. The waiters are brilliant also, giving suggestions based on your own preferences. Definitely recommend and will be going back for seconds!
