Food is delicious, served with great taste and friendliness. The side dishes, especially the baked white rice, are fantastic. I highlight the wide variety of desserts. I tried the house special dessert; the port wine molotov is divine!! I recommend.

We got hair in our food. Waitress didnt speak english. Food was raw with blood. Fries covered with tons of oil And even the rice. The rice was too salty and meat wasnt spiced at all. Offered us a bread with small piece of butter and at the end charged us with 4,5 euro for old hard bitten bread. Just discusting!! Never again!!!

We don't like it.
We start with the service. There was only one table occupied and it took 40 minutes from the time we entered until the food arrived at the table.
We ordered 3 cod dishes and 1 goat dish. The Bacalhau arrived and they forgot about the Goat. We had to ask again. We all make mistakes and we don't get upset because they've been forgotten.
The problem was in quality. The potatoes supposedly roasted from the cod and goat were white and pale. They looked like kitchens.
When we asked they said they were roasted but from the looks of it they were kitchens. They had no flavor.
The goat was raw and when we noticed it there were still some cold parts.
The rice was soggy and tasteless.
We didn't like the way we were treated. There was no sympathy or understanding when we made the criticism.
We won't be back. I'm sorry because the space itself seems quite pleasant and calm. We visit Amarante every year and always choose restaurants for lunch and dinner. Unfortunately we won't be back.
I would like those in charge to see customer comments and change the way they work. They only lose customers like that.

Excellent local food. Served by friendly and helpful staff. Generous portions. Quiet even on a Friday night although it was early in the evening and in the shoulder season. Perfect after a long day of driving and exploring.

Portuguese-style stew, very good, that flavor of village meats. Wonderful service, going so far as to offer what the customer wants. The friendliness, the wonderful hotel humility, make Tranqueira an excellent option in Amarante.

The restaurant looks good and is clean, but the roast veal tasted like rancid lard and the service was inefficient and not at all attentive. After we complained, the answer was: "...they ate everything at the next table!"

WORST RESTAURANT FOR ANY TYPE OF “MEAL” if you can call what was served that way…With just one dish of the day, contradicting what was written at the entrance of the restaurant, that there were several dishes of the day...We ordered cod with onions and loin in the oven, on a menu where 70% of the dishes were unavailable…The cod was raw and had a strong “rotten” smell… the fillet was defrosted and served just like that with half a dozen fries and a strange sauce….After informing the owner, she, without the slightest bit of humility to apologize for the “rotten” cod dish, said that no one had complained, perhaps because the restaurant was completely in shambles, so to speak...The girl who served the tables was very friendly and was more uncomfortable with the situation than the boss who maintained an arrogant and less than humble air...A HEALTH ATTACK FOR THIS PLACE THEY CALL A RESTAURANT!!!
