When I want to eat well and be well served, I always go back to Tasquinha da Ponte. The food is deliciously homemade and the service is quick and very friendly. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming. The price is very good. I highly recommend it!

I couldn't even enjoy lunch.
The owner wanted to dispatch it to assist those who were waiting outside. Very unfriendly.
To eat like this, I don't go to the restaurant. It's enough on work days to eat on the run.
I do not recommend. We won't be back for sure.

We came across Tasquinha da Ponte while walking in the area, looking for a place to have dinner. The interior is pretty classic for a Portuguese tasca, with some interesting details on the walls. Unfortunately the food was not outstanding, as one would expect from a traditional Portuguese restaurant. We had the pica pau, which had a weird-tasting sauce (francesinha-like but too sweet for our taste), the chouriço (which is good indeed), hake fillets (they were tasty but a bit greasy) and vegetables. We were really expecting the vegetables to be cabbage and carrots, as it usually is in Portugal, but instead we have got something similar to sprouts (grelos) mixed with some beans. They would have been good to if they weren't so so salty. To forget about that all, we had baba de camelo for dessert (and it was great). The wine was good and the service fast and friendly enough. The prices are average. Maybe we just choose the dishes wrong but it's not an experience we would repeat.

As far as I'm concerned, a very good experience. Very tasty food (Boar chanfana accompanied with punched robes), the space is very pleasant and the service for a very busy day also has nothing to say. A place to return to when returning to Amarante.
