The Chef's Tavern is not a house of great luxuries! And let it be said, in all honesty, that they are not necessary! The quality of the food and service speak for themselves! From the magnificent kebabs to the grilled piece of veal, cod and stew, among others, everything is delicious! At least I like it and most people I know who know the house share the same opinion! The only drawback is the reduced space! But maybe even that makes the tavern different! Try... Note: I recommend booking in advance!

We visited this place on Sunday to have lunch. Busy schedule but staff kindly ask us if we could wait 20 minutes. Glad we did it. Staff was great and food was excellent. We had grilled steak for 2. Meat was just perfect and regional wine was a perfect fit. We also had one desert and coffee for both. Great meal at affordable price. It’s a real typical Portuguese gem that deserves 5 stars
