“A mix of a traditional Azorean restaurant and a more upscale place. When you arrive, you first have to pass the snackbar terrace to go towards the restaurant entrance. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Traditional dishes include grilled fish in a tile (the tile actually comes from Madeira). One big tile can be shared by two people. They also have a couple of dishes which most kids like (spaghetti as well as the full menu from the snackbar).
You get a tablet at your table to go through the digital menu and order the food and drinks that you want. Personally I prefer to talk about the menu with the staff and order it directly from them. Now every guest has to go through the whole menu and some items are not easy to find (e.g. a single glass of wine). That doesn't finish the quality of the food, so just a personal opinion.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of choice, given the fact that the restaurant also provides you access to the snackbar menu. Kids can explore the outdoor area on the terrace with a great ocean view.“

“Have eaten here now four times in the two weeks I was in Terceira. Brought a party of 21 for dinner here and service was fast and the food, oh so delicious! My favorite dish was the grilled cod with onions and potatoes, just how my grandma makes it!“
“For those who like and want to enjoy a musical experience. A simple and welcoming place. The tavern keepers are the singers and create a very friendly atmosphere in the house. Definitely a place to return!
Vegetarian options: They serve several types of cheese and bread or garlic bread.
Dietary restrictions: I'm allergic to cow's milk and one of the barkeeps went to get some water bread especially for me. They are very respectful of dietary restrictions.“

“A delight. If I could take a "chicken" in my suitcase to the continent, I would. The first visit I took chicken and it was simply incredible. The second one I ate the bitoque, two pieces came, if I ate one it wouldn't be bad, but the meat is so good, so juicy... it was a shame that I couldn't eat the whole second piece because it was too undercooked for my taste, There are those who like it this way and even more, but I don't. As the piece was not homogeneous, it was not easy, it was even difficult to control the stitch. It is difficult to find meat of this quality, for those from the continent. Congratulations on the quality of the product and the house. Best wishes for success“

“When you enter a restaurant and everyone welcomes you with such a good vibe that they even change your chip, it is a good sign. We came to eat in battle because we were taking a flight in two hours. 24 euros (12 per head), a plate of breasts with gratin cheese and tomato and a salad with homemade fries (simple but delicious), a hamburger with all the possible sacraments and 3 Pepsi Zero. Good price, everything delicious and unbeatable treatment. I recommend it 100%.“

“We ate both at the restaurant (upstairs) and at the snack bar (downstairs).
The restaurant is minimal and elegant, with refined and refined dishes at very honest prices. Memorable fish!
The snack bar at lunch served us an excellent burger and club sandwich like champions.
Pleasant and helpful staff on both floors.
Highly recommended! 5 star restaurant. Snack bar 4 abundant.“

“It was the only vegan dish they had but the day we went they had the soup of the day that was also vegan. I REALLY enjoyed the chickpeas and since we were hiking and walking the whole day, this was a great dish to fuel yourself! Service was really nice and they have a nice little terrace.“

“Similar to others, found this great cafe by walking a couple of blocks uphill from Hotel Zenite. Food was delicious, service was fast and friendly and atmosphere was very much non-touristy-local (in a good way). My two young kids loved it here also. Give it a try.“

“We had an excellent experience at this restaurant.
The staff that served us was super friendly, available, attentive, and the food was delicious.
The space is pleasant and has covered parking, which is a big advantage.
We really liked it and found the prices to be appropriate.
I highly recommend it to everyone!“

“We had the seafood rice for two. It was huge, had plenty of shrimp, muscles and clams and tasted heavenly. I also had the Morcela (blood sausage) with Pineapple appetizer which was outstanding and also a huge portion. The house wine was good too. Overall it was great!“

“We got the tuna and regional steak instead of the chateaubriand “best cut of beef from the Azores” why? Other restaurants charge only €40-50 for 2 persons sides included and this was €75 for 2 persons which we felt was well above market price literally everywhere else. While the concept was cool, I do feel it is a bit touristy as no local would pay such prices and the food was good, but nothing amazing. Also they only have 3 wines to offer, no wine list. We got the mid grade Duroc wine and it was ok but also a bit too expensive for the quality in my opinion.
When wine prices are not on a menu and certain cuts of beef (chateaubriand for example are also listed to inquire it makes me feel the prices are completely made up). In fact it would be preferred if these were listed on a board to ensure every table is being charged the same, which I suspect may not be the case and that made me feel a bit sour along with the general overpriced nature of the food.“

“One of the few restaurant with vegan options. Also some fish dishes and vegetarian (with cheese). Good food, good service and affordable prices. Make sure to reserve in the high season and make sure that you're not in a hurry. It's a small restaurant run by a couple. So just sit back, enjoy the scenery and the lovely food.“

“One of the most renowned restaurants on the island.
However, probably due to the comfort of the success achieved, in recent years we have begun to see a degradation in quality, service and waiting times.
Parking: Parking is in a dedicated lot, ~80m from the restaurant (transverse access to the restaurant)“

“I stopped at this cafe and decided to try a mixed sandwich that seemed to be very hard, since they don't have a toaster. I would like to point out that the employees threw out shorts. I'm still waiting for a new tooth and a HOT toast!“

“Service is sometimes slow, but it's a great place to go for a cocktail or a beer. I was a little disappointed that they didn't know the types of beer they sell there, but I was lucky and chose one that was delicious!
The cocktails are also good, and they know how to make a good gin and tonic.
More recently I went to dinner with a group of friends, the service lived up to expectations despite the food being a little salty.
Overall, I liked the red fruit sangria, as well as the different food.“

“We thoroughly enjoyed our traditional meal consisting of bread, cheese, wine, calde verde (kale soup), alcatra de vaca (beef stew), and dessert.
Our host couldn't have been nicer, more accommodating, or more generous with the food/wine!
And the place is like going back in time... in style. Rustic, with lots of antiques, but also chic and clean.“

“We went for our first lunch on the island. There were only local restaurants. We didn't eat but their desserts were in great demand. The environment is very friendly and casual. We ate swordfish, it was very good. The service was fast and friendly.“

“We ended up in this taberna during our island hopping on Terceira. The map and the interior appealed to us as we walked past. And we were not disappointed!
Great wine recommendations with little stories. Plus tapas that just fit. So a big fat thumbs up from us ??! A must for a great evening. And the service was also extremely attentive. In the end, we wanted a good digestive and there was a recommendation for that that just fit. Please note: Figo - Local & really tasty.
LG to the entire crew“
