We thoroughly enjoyed our traditional meal consisting of bread, cheese, wine, calde verde (kale soup), alcatra de vaca (beef stew), and dessert.
Our host couldn't have been nicer, more accommodating, or more generous with the food/wine!
And the place is like going back in time... in style. Rustic, with lots of antiques, but also chic and clean.

I've been on Ilha Tercera for 4 days trying to book a table in advance for 2 people and the answer is always the same, the restaurant is full but the funny thing is that they don't even ask if it's for lunch or dinner, I honestly don't understand?

Family own restaurant. We stopped for lunch as part of guided tour. Simple and nice food. Didn’t see the menu, but soup and fish were really good.
Tried three times to make a reservation… should have given up after a first try. The food might be good?? Just wouldn’t count on getting served a meal!
