Good food, good service and very good air conditioning. If you don't make a reservation for dinner you can expect to wait between half an hour and an hour, at lunch time we found no problem. Just detail that they have a small extraction problem since you come out smelling like food, otherwise highly recommended.

Alcatra for 2 is where it’s at. Just like mom (and grandma, and the tias) used to make. Served in a little clay pot with a basket of sweet bread to dip in the juice and a basket of fries ( I would have preferred rice but that’s ok). Service was quick and polite. I went in knowing what to order so didn’t ask much of them either. If the other menu items are anywhere near as good as the alcatra I couldn’t say but no reason to think otherwise either. Highly recommended

Great option to eat in Angra do Heroísmo, especially on a Sunday when there are few options for dinner
We liked a lot! The food was very good, from the starters to the tuna steak, which was a specialty. I also recommend trying the vinegar jam, but let me share that it is really sweet.
The environment is pleasant and beautiful and the prices are higher than the average for the surrounding area. The least good aspect is the management of the waiting list for those who don't have a reservation... you can name it but they expect it to be faster than it actually is.

Booked in the afternoon for 9pm but there were no tables so we ate separately but above all the first course (cold) arrived at 11pm! Two hours of waiting... we protested but they didn't seem to listen to us. Even the appetizer made of 10 slices of cheese arrived at 11pm...to get water we had to go and ask for it because no one needed it

The restaurant is nice. The head of the room was very friendly. Of course, we had to wait more than 1 hour to be seated. The place has so many tables that we had one where all the smoke from the kitchen smoked us, which made us reek of smoke as if we were coming from a barbecue that we made ourselves. We asked for a bottle of wine, they told us they didn't have it and they offered us one twice as expensive, we said no, what beers, and suddenly he told us that they did have it. Nothing, it works for us, and when we go to drink, a friend says oops, let me see that this label doesn't sound familiar to me. Well, nothing, they had given us the expensive wine that we had rejected 2 minutes before. We asked them to take it away. The food is good, expensive value for money. The vinegar cake was delicious. Now, we wouldn't go back.

A restaurant close to the main street.
The dishes were good and tasty and therefore recommended.
but,
We were seated at a table next to a bunch of little flies.
The neighboring tables also had a similar problem.
At the end one of them dived into the drink.
The waiter claimed that this is the case in the whole area.
Just an idle claim.
In short, good food maybe, but not a recommended place.

Restaurantji Recommends
We went on recommendation but our expectations were not met. We didn't eat anything that was exactly bad, but it wasn't excellent either. The meals were not accompanied by salad or vegetables and the salad available was only tomato, as was the (tomato) soup. The employees were extremely friendly.

Two stars on average.
We were at this restaurant twice for dinner, on consecutive nights.
It would have been better to stay first!...
At the first dinner we were very well attended to, served quickly and ate regional Alcatra. So far so good.
As we liked everything, we went back the next night. We set it for 9pm. We were called at 9:30 pm. This time we ordered T-bone for two. It started badly, because one wanted it rare and the other wanted it well done. Employee comment: after all, what do you want? For that to happen there have to be two. We opted for medium rare, so as not to have to order two. About an hour and a half later, we were surprised by the offer of a "treat": some olives and some snacks of potato chips and mayonaise sauce: they had forgotten the order. When, about half an hour later, the T-bone of special aged beef from the Azores arrives: completely undercooked, full of fiber, difficult to cut and difficult to eat...
Very bad. It ruined the first good impression.
We wouldn't have come back before!
In the end, those responsible disappeared and there was neither an admission of guilt nor an apology.
Unfortunate.
