The best restaurant in Porto (and I’ve been living here for over a year now). Cot fish ze do pipo is amazing and grilled sardines made me believe again that sardines can be tasty. The waiters are very nice, funny and helpful.

This place is located in the underground of an abandoned building. It was uncomfortable and the waiter was extremely rude and arrogant. From the moment we got in, the staff seemed unhappy with us being 8 people. We got the table after the waiter offended me us. When we started to order they said that we had to hurry up and were obviously very grumpy. When i tried to order in Portuguese, the waiter cussed me out and told me I had a bad accent and bragd about how he could speak in multiple languages. We were so offended that we left the place. Not recommended at all, there are lots of other places in Porto that are actually worth visiting. Do not waste your time here

We stumbled across this small restaurant by accident and it was only later that we learned what good reviews it had. We took it as we found it. We were lucky to be welcomed and found a table for three. Others, coming straight after us, we not so lucky but it was suggested they try again later. They were not turned away as such. The food was Portuguese. It was good. The ambience was lively. The service was good and our waiter was a character. It made for an excellent evening. I would certainly recommend this establishment but do go early. It’s very popular.

Good food and terrible service. I’m all for waiting a long time to wait for my food while I have some drinks and enjoy the place. The server was ignoring everyone almost like on purpose. When you finally get their attention and you ask for something they don’t even acknowledge you talked to them. 30 minutes later you may get the drink or appetizer your order. Almost like they hate waiting on people there. I would not go back as there are just as good and better food anywhere else in Porto

Tiny little place with wonderful service and a very traditional Portuguese menu. No reservations and it gets busy so go early. Food was great and the waiter was a star performer

You do wait, cause no reservations accepted. They only have 8tables. Small, cozy place with good food. Reasonably priced too. I did not come across with that unfriendly lady that has been mentioned in theother reviews. There were 2 very nice gentlemen. Try,if you like local, cheaper and tasty food.

In my opinion is the best place to eat typical food, I tried other typical tavernas in Porto but I recommend this one. Everything perfect

Our Air B & B host recommended the place when we asked for a recommendation on a seafood place. The first time when we arrived there for lunch, there was already a line outside of the place. And it moved very slowly. We waited at least 40 minutes. We ordered herb mushroom and sardines and a fish cake for appetizers. Everything is great. For the main dish, we ordered roasted octopus. Oh, my goodness, what a treat. We loved it. We love the place so much. We went back for lunch the 2nd time. This time we went right after it opened. So no waiting. For the appetizer, we ordered prawns. They are very big, fresh and tasty. For the main dish, we could not decided on the seafood rice or the pork dish. We went with the pork dish. It was unique. Tasty. But at the end, it feels a little by greasy. We will not order it again. But we are glad that we tried it.

The pictures online looked great, so we decided to book a table. We arrive at the restaurant and were met by this extremely unpolite lady, who pointed us at the table and threw us the menus. We ordered 3 apetizers and only two arrived. After the apetizers we gave our forks and knives to be changed before eating the main course, but we were told we had to keep them and they could not change them. The codfish was below average, the potatoes served as sides were almost raw Overall negative experience
