this is such a fabulous spot with the best views over the valley! the vegan options are limited but i was so pleased to discover they had soya milk for coffees and a vegan lemon cake. perfect at the end of our walk.

The lemon cake is a great hiking reward after doing the Risco and 25 fontes levada walk, shame they don't do anything savoury but it was awesome to get a delicious vegan lemon cake in the middle of nowhere!

A magnificent surprise during the trek in the Levada dos 25 Fontes. You can also get there by leaving the car on the nearby road and walking 200 meters downhill, but we found it on the trekking route. The pasteis de nata are worth it, hot and delicious

The food is good but way too expensive for the quantity. A carbonara pasta sold for €15 for a “child” portion. We need to review the quantities for certain dishes, or lower their prices!
Particularly special mention to the paying toilets which bring my score down a lot. It is unacceptable to have to pay for a vital need, especially since the margins on catering are high! The entrance system is protected by camera with entrance turnstile and coin machine next to it. If you can pay all that just for a toilet, then you already have the money to maintain them! We peed behind the toilet, for free.

A pleasant place to sit after the completed route. A minibus runs from the cafe to the parking lot for 5 euros, for those who find it difficult to walk this entire very steep climb.
