Our new "go to" place as Armação locals. Tourist season can be a bit insane, but arrive fairly early & you'll get good service with good basic Portuguese classic fare & good prices. The chicken & chips are great as an affordable family meal. Worthwhile venturing into the seafood menu for something different as well.

Take-away Experience: We ordered fries, via phone, for 8 and they informed us that 4 or 5 servings were enough. We ordered 5 doses and they said it would be ready in 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, we arrived at the Casarão and had to wait for some time. I informed the lady responsible for take-away that I had arrived and that I had ordered fries and she immediately apologized that there was only one fryer because the other had broken down and I had to wait. I asked the time and she said, arrogantly, that she didn't know, that she had to see. She came back with the potatoes and I asked if it was just that bag and she said “yes, they’re just potatoes” and I “asked because it doesn’t seem like much”, to which she replied “that’s it for 5 people” and I said “5? I ordered for 8 and they said there were 5 doses” and I received the answer “I think it’s enough”… do you think so?!? And obviously it didn't. Arrogance and lack of respect for the customer is what makes customers not return and prefer to go elsewhere.
Very friendly service, I arrived at 2:20 pm, completely out of hours, and I still ordered take away and the service was very good. The quality of the food is also very good, the chicken is divine. A place I always return to. It has good references with a very, very good quality and price ratio.

Took an hour to get the food for 3 of us in a party of 11. And then when it came one dish was still raw. It also took a long time to get the bill and the service was not good at all. Maybe good for those who live here but we as tourists did not like this at all.
The food was not good either. No sauces or similar but it was dry and not good at all.
