We went here for brunch and were very happy with our choice - there were a lot of vegan options for us to choose from, it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere and the staff were wonderful too. We both had the vegan full English breakfast but would definitely like to go back and try some of the burritos and pasta dishes too. I highly recommend their homemade flavoured lemonades, very delicious and refreshing!

Great service and welcoming Superb menu with lots to choose from - we had a mixture of kids meals and Thai curries for something different from junk! Homemade lemonades pictured were great as was the coffee! Excellent location

Tons of vegan options with a whole section of about 7 meals. Excellent service - they served us after their kitchen closed! We had the veggie burger and pasta bolognese. Both were tasty and satisfying. It’s the kind of food that tastes homemade because it wasn’t extremely salty. It wasn’t fancy, but it hit the spot.

I'm sorry to hear about a colleague's less than stellar experience. I had a wonderful lunch chosen from a 95% vegan menu. Lots of seating on the esplanade. Nice airy seating area inside. A wide range of vegan dishes. The only one that wasn't was a starter with honey. Updated from previous review on 2024-05-02

Sunday sitting, the musician next door played great songs. The sun was shining, what more could you wish for ?.

Very good vegetarian food. The cook Patricia knows what she's doing and is very eager to make sure you dine well here. With her confidence and knowledge she's able to give grait advise of which to choose from on the menu. The dishes are in good balance. Thank you very much and we'll meet again

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Bolognese. I have never eaten good vegan parmesan cheese until I tasted the almond based one from this kitchen. Very good. And also the falafel with baba ganoush.

With few vegan options across the coast, Sam's was an incredibly good place to stop by. The menu whilst limited was incredibly well priced and the food tasted of top quality. Would definitely recommend.

Where should I start... We sat down and the manager came to take our order, there was no menu because they were formulating the new menu (he said). It's fine, we understood. We asked him what could we eat as vegans. He gave us a couple options and we chose a tomato toast and an avocado toast. So far so good. After we waited around 15min, the manager said they were out of bread and someone went out to buy it. Again, no problem for us, we waited. 15min later he said they were going again to another supermarket because apparently there wasn't any bread. It seemed odd as it was a Wednesday and everything should be open at 12pm. 1h30 later we got our toasts. The avocado toast had cheese on it. We called the waiter (he didn't speak. Portuguese and his English was also not the best). He called the cook who was a lovely lady that brought us the menu and said the avocado toast had cheese in the menu. We explained we ordered vegan toasts with the manager and he had told us there was no menu. She remade the toast. We came to know that both the cook and the manager were new in this restaurant. I understand that there are misunderstandings but come on, there were only another couple guests in there as well. The toasts were good! We asked for the bill and the price of the toasts were the same (almost 7eur each). As the tomato toast was only tomato and bread and the avocado toast had arugula, onion, tomato and radish, I found it unfair to pay the same price. I complained and they gave me a little discount finally admitting it was more that fair because we waited 1h30 to eat something which can easily be made in 10min. Afterwards we were still very hungry and walked 5min to the closest supermarket (Lidl) and guess what? There were plenty of all kinds of breads. In conclusion, not worth it. You better go buy some bread and humus in Lidl and eat it sitting on the beach.
