I have been going to this restaurant for many years, whenever I pass through Arouca. Unfortunately I say that there was a drop in quality and an increase in price. As always here, the Veal is roasted in the oven and this time it was quite different from the previous ones. Although it was still quite pleasant and balanced, it was not very refined, with drier pieces that were consequently not as tasty. In terms of quality/price: This was one of the cheapest restaurants I frequent in Arouca and has now become one of the most expensive. This dose of Veal that I'm talking about cost €30 and was only enough for two people because we asked for some more rice. It was definitely this relationship that made me give it only 3 stars. Because I understood that despite having increased prices considerably, the restaurant itself did not follow suit. I really found it expensive compared to the prices of this dish in restaurants that also make it and the quality in this one is not superior. Also pay attention to the cover charge, which is made up of various savory snacks that have a variable unit price. They can quickly increase your bill without you even realizing it. It is with regret that I say that there is not much left of the old simple and humble restaurant...
